My Disney Nightmare: Cannot book FP+ for Be Our Guest

About two weeks ago, we received an e-mail, from Disney Destinations, inviting us to reserve FP+ for lunch at Be Our Guest. Although our reservation is from Friday, August 15th to Saturday, August 23rd, the Be Our Guest FP+ offering is for Monday, August 11th to Sunday, August 17th. We will be arriving late Friday afternoon, via Disney’s Magical Express, which is noted in our guest folio. This leaves us with 2 potential booking days.

After several phone calls and hours on the phone, this is where we are:

IT: The resort reservation and Be Our Guest lunch FP+ offering should coincide. It is unclear as to why the FP+ offering would be for the week before the reservation.

Guest Services: There is a problem with the “area arrival date.” Somehow, the “area arrival date” and resort reservation are not aligned. DVC would need to adjust the “area arrival date.”

DVC: While table service dining can be booked, member services is unable to assist with Be Our Guest FP+ reservations.

So, who can I possibly call to receive assistance with securing a FP+ reservation for lunch at Be Our Guest?

I have been on the site and noticed that you can only book approximately a week in advance. My advice is to try again when you are a about a week out.

Read the FAQ thread on the Disney Dining Reservation sub forum of Disney Restaurants. Right now you can select a FP approximately 27 days prior to the day you want to eat there. The first page goes over other issues people have come up with.

Unfortunately, we do not have access to a 27 day window, as described in the thread.

We will be arriving in 8 days and are only able to book a reservation on either the first or second day of our trip. We have no need for August 11 - 15 because the dates and times precede our arrival.

IT and Guest Services have acknowledged it as a mistake, yet no one has been able to correct it.

keep trying. always ppl cxl'ing and rearranging their schedules. during Xmas week of last year, I kept trying and got lucky with a ressie on Xmas day at be our guest. Somebody must have cxl at that moment i was i searching. :thumbsup2

Not sure if this helps or if I'm being a bit dense but was there not a seperate site for booking BOG? Or has this changed now? If anyone knows I'd like the answer too!

Yes, this is the website: https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/

When I log into the site and make the appropriate reservation selection, the calendar is limited to August 11th - 17th. There are times, every day during this spread, that are available. However, we are not arriving until the evening of August 15th. The same days have been available since our e-mail was sent back in July.

Both IT and Guest Services have acknowledged that we should have access to the dates of our stay. Unfortunately, we cannot seem to rectify a DVC "area arrival date" glitch.

We had the same problem back in July... Couldn't book up easily so just gave up.

How does the screenshot help if they can't find your reservation? Proof?

I would just book it on one of the two days offered. This lunch is not worth having someone messing with your reservation.

Yes, this, too, is a concern of mine. With each call, I am asked to provide my reservation numbers. The moment I am placed on hold, I begin to worry that any adjustment of an "area arrival date" will result in the loss of my DVC reservation.

Honestly, I am more than happy to eat at Columbia Harbour House and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe. However, my Mom has not been to WDW since 1992 and we are trying to arrange this for her.

Can you still go if you don't have a fast pass for lunch?

It's my understanding that you can *definitely* go if you don't have a fast pass. Like an attraction, however, the line to get in may be longer than you're willing to deal with.

We wanted to go one of the last days of our vacation. We too could not get those days to show for a ressie offering. Only a few of our days showed too, no phone call could change it. After we arrived at disney those last days showed up as an offering. And after I accepted a time I could not find it again after I booked it but BOG could see it. It still seems glitchy. Next time I do not think I will even try for it.

Have you called DVC MS and asked them to update your area arrival date? It should be something they can do - it's a separate field from your actual reservation. I don't think changing that should have any impact on your FP+ reservations.

We had this issue. We had a different reservation, then had to change dates. It was still picking up the old dates (would not even let me put in a reservation #). So, I found a thread that said to try a different Disney account, so I logged back in with my wife's login. Well, lo and behold, it asked for a Reservation #. Put it in and, voila, everything then worked fine...

Thank you, so much, for your reply!

This is our exact problem. Our original reservation, which was booked at the 7-month mark, was for August 11th - 18th. A few days after booking, we modified the dates to August 15th - August 23rd. Even though the original reservation was cancelled months ago, the "area arrival date," which populates Disney e-mails, is pulling from the original reservation. This is why we are seeing August 11th - 17th and not our current reservation.

I will create another account and see if I have the same luck.

Thanks again!

So, we created a secondary account and our trip dates, August 15th - August 23rd, have appeared! However, now, the system is not saving our selections
