This is for using the program
blender, which can be downloaded for free.
You need three files to work with, which I put in my
4shared account. It is a custom_disney_Intro.zip. Unzip the file.
- Click on your file that ends in .blend (It will have a
yellow box next to it, indicating it's what will work)
- Click Open (in upper right corner)
- Click on the words "Walt Disney"
- Hit tab This will put you in edit mode
- Backspace and type your family name
- In the bottom area, third section over, is "fonts"
- Side note: You can move
around these windows by using the "P" for Parent
directory and the little up and down arrows below the
P.
- Your font will have a blue box next to it. Click
it, then click "select font"
- Now in the top row of options, click Render>Render
Animation
The next part takes about 15-30 minutes on my
computer. If your
computer is running slow, you might want to do it
overnight.
There are 375 frames. One of your blender
windows is a DOS window. It will tell you which frame
it's working on. The program never tells you when it's
done.. but that window will tell you it did 375
- Then. I open up windows movie maker.
- I import the video file, which is in the c://tmp
folder
- I drag it down to video, then drag the wav file down
to the audio section.
- Then, I click on "File>publish movie,"
selecting play back on this computer.
That is it. Let me know if you want more specific details (for example, windows movie maker is so easy, I wasn't super specific there). It took me hours to find all of the different little things in blender, and I'm more than happy to save some time for others.
If you want a .jpg file. When you are done rendering
select "File>Save" image and type in the name you want. You can also just put it on frame number 375, and select "Render>Render Current Frame" then go to "File>Save" image. That way you don't have to wait for the entire process, if you are only wanting the image.
Good Luck!
