My daughter (17) went as the adult with my niece as the child (4). I did an extensive review on it awhile back -- let me see if I can find it ....
Here you go...
Below is a copy and paste of my report - because my nephew was also at the Pirate Cruise at the same time there is some mention of that in the report, but I am too lazy to redo it for just princess information. On another thread I explained how I justified the cost but well its really a personal thing...well worth it for us. I will mention that I did not go...My daughter 17 went as the adult and took Amanda -- 4yr old niece. If there are any questions just let me know.
>>Meanwhile Chloe has gotten Amanda up because those two girls are going to the My Disney Girl Perfectly Princess Tea at the Grand Floridian. Chloe said Amanda was right out of bed because she was so excited about getting dressed up. She and Chloe had bought complimentary colored dresses...Chloe's was a sundress and Amanda's was a Sunday School type dress with true twirlability (very important) and I had bought the girls new sandals too for the event...Chloe had chosen these really cute clear spike heel ones...I couldn't imagine walking in but I knew she would manage and Amanda had a more sensible pair. Chloe had gotten them both up and fixed up nice ...nail polish, hair done etc.
I had gotten back on the monorail to meet them back at the Poly and go over to the GF with them but really shouldn't have...as it turned out they were all ready at the Monorail station by the time I came around so I kept in phone contact with CHloe and she just hopped in the car I was in.
We got over to the GF just a tad early and sat in the lobby with others obviously waiting the same tea. The tea is held in the Garden View Lounge and it is made up very nicely for the event. Once they opened you checked in, paid and were handed a card to take to the hostess. It isn't like a regular PS where they seat you as you come rather they make an event of seating everyone.
Rose Petal (the hostess of the tea) announces the beginning of the tea and speaks about all the princesses coming to the tea but they are missing a tiara. Then one at a time each child goes to the entry way and a tiara is placed on their head as they are announced by name and rose petals are showered over their head. They had tiaras in three colors (pink, blue and purple) and chose the child's tiara to match their outfit. Most children had on deluxe type princess outfits, a few had dressy dresses, and even fewer were in park clothes.
After the child is announced they and their adult (Chloe in this case) are escorted to their seat where a Disney Girl dresses as Aurora is waiting for them in the seat they want the child to sit in. Whiile waiting at the table the children will discover a bracelet wrapped in their napkin.
Tea is served; sandwiches in shapes for the children and a little more upscale choice sandwiches for the adults. Apple juice is the tea for children. As the participants eat Rose Petal sings and tells stories. The children also learn how to wave like a princess and curtsy. Rose Petal and Baron Branch (the piano player) also sit and meet with each child.
Later Princess Aurora comes in and all children are gathered to meet her and then go back to their seats. Aurora sits with each child at their table for a few minutes and presents them with a rose and a thank you note for attending the tea with her. Dessert is also served during this time.
Once the tea is over you head upstairs to get what is described in the materials as your scrapbook page but in reality is the princess scrapbook kit that is now available in the stores for $15.00; enough for several pages of layouts and a Best Friend's Certificate hand done in a calligraphy style with the child's name and date on it.
While Chloe and Amanda went to the tea I spied a bit from upstairs and shopped some of the stores then headed back to pick up Alex from the pirates cruise. He was due back at 11:30 and arrived right on time; the whole boat singing "Yo Ho Ho A pirate's life for me" Alex received a bag of loot from the treasure they found (toy pirate loot type stuff) and told me they went to the different hotels and had to find clues. Also had a sack lunch but appeared he didn't eat any of it to me.
Alex and I went back to the GF tea area and waited for Amanda and Alex. It was nice to sit in the lobby. He played with his stuff and I could see a bit of what was going on in the tea.
After Chloe and Amanda met up with us; Chloe went up to the gift shop for the extras and then we walked back to the Poly.<<
