Has anyone out there done this that can comment on it? My sister wants info for her 4 year old daughter. Is it worth the $$$$, how is the interaction from Aurora, and is the menu good? She already has it scheduled, just wants feed back and pictures for peace of mind. Thanks for your help

We went in Jan 2006, so I'm not sure if much has changed. My DD was 4 at the time and a little overwhelmed, but she loved it and still talks about it. The kids plate was great- heartshaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grapes and apple juice for tea. (They did have an alternative for allergies.) My adult plate was not as great and I did not eat much of it. I can't remember everything that was on it, but I did grab something to eat later. The dessert was wonderful- a white cake with strawberry filling.

The interaction with Aurora was fun. The girls all had time for photos and autographs and they all danced around the tea room with her. They received American Girl-like Aurora dolls, jewelry, a tiara and a scrapbook kit,so we did walk away with quite a bit. My DD loves her doll and plays with it regularly. There was entertainment the whoe time and all of the girls really seemed to enjoy themselves. All but 2 were wearing princess dreses, so keep that in mind if your DD will want to wear one. Enjoy!

Thanks for your reply it sounds like it will be fun for my niece and I will make sure my sister dresses her up. Keep the reviews coming. :)

We went fall 06, it was fun, as the PP wrote, the kids get pb&j hearts, grapes, apple tea, adults had tea sandwiches, cheese, the sandwiches were a tad dry IMO, the princess cake they bring out was delish, as was the adult tea!

The girls got tiaras, bracelets, & a WDW girl doll (who was hard as a rock, my DD fell out of bed onto it & broke her bone:scared1: ). Briar Rose was great, she told a story & sang, DH was "prince phillip" for the act, funny! :rotfl: Aurora came out at the end w/ a rose for each girl, she was sweet but Briar Rose outshined her;) probably not Auroras fault, as Briar Rose is most of the show.

I would say do it for the experience, DH told me to book it again for this trip but my kids didnt care to:rolleyes:
PS- I think every girl there was in a princess dress

I think a lot of it depends on how much your DD loves Sleeping Beauty. At the time, she was the ultimate princess to my 5yo DD. I had an older DD who was not into princesses at all, so given the high price we decided to split up and let her and my DH have a special afternoon while my 5yo and I went to the tea.

I will tell you, it will rank in the top 5 moments of being a mommy. I am not an emotional person but I get tears just thinking about it. Seeing her face light up as she waltzed w/Aurora was unbelievable! It was just like a commercial! The first half of the tea during much of the meal is with a storyteller who tells a colorful and interactive story of Sleeping Beauty. Then Aurora comes out and dances w/all the girls, and then makes her rounds to each table. She sits with each one long enough for a conversation and some pics. It was a very personal experience. And getting the doll was icing on the cake. When we left we were treated to another surprise as my DD and another princess were asked if they wanted to copilot the Monorail. At the time I didn't even know they did this. The girls were just beaming! Most definitely THE BEST experience of the trip!

I took my DGD who was 5 last January. It was a bit pricey but worth every penny. She was dressed in her blue Sleeping Beauty gown and the Princess made sure to acknowledge her dress. There were a lot of girls in their finery, some in costume others in pretty dresses. The little story was cute and there was plenty of interaction with each child. The food was okay, keep in mind that this one is not really about the food, it is to allow girls to enjoy their "adult" tea with the others/ I saw several families and really wish that I had included her Pa. He would have loved seeing his little Princess there.
It was a wonderful time for the two of us.

My daughter and I went to the tea last May. She loved having her own tea cup, tea strainer, the heart shaped sandwiches, her special dolly, and of course Aurora, up close and personal. She chose to wear her own special dress because she wanted to show it to Aurora. She did not seem to notice what the other girls were wearing (there were alot of little princesses) however this may have been because Aurora spent a lot of time admiring her special dress.;) She was 5yrs old.

She still remembers EVERY detail (and so do I). I think that says it all.

I went with my SIL, DN and MIL in 2005. We all had fun! My nieve loved the doll they gave her. Here are some pics:

I was interested in information on this too. It sounds so great! I read it's pfj and hanm & ch for the kids? Is there a way to get just ham and no pbj? dd hates pbj. Also on adults I saw something about seafood? I hate seafood would they leave it off? I don't want to be a pain but it is a lot of money...

We went in Dec 07. My dd was 3 at the time and it was an unforgettable event. She still talks about it. The meals and gifts were the same as the previous posters stated. All of the girls had princess dresses on at our event as well. Food was ok, not great, but ok. I don't remember being able to sub anything, it comes out preplated but I also didn't ask. My dd loved having "tea" with me. I also had tears in my eyes seeing the joy on my dd's face. It really was a wonderful event. :lovestruc

Aurora was outshined by herself? :scared1: Aurora, Briar Rose, and Sleeping Beauty are all her names. She is the only princess who has three names. How could Aurora be outshined by Briar Rose? :confused3 Is this how your daughter understands the story of Sleeping Beauty?

I think she meant Rose Petal, who hosts the tea, not Briar Rose.

Anyone know which days this is offered? I don't think it is every day, right? Thanks!

I just looked on Disney's website since I've seen different prices around and menus.

The tea party takes places on Sun, Mon, Wed, Thur and Fri from 10:30-12:00
The price is $250 for 1 adult and 1 child ages 3-11
For an additional adult it is $85
For an additional child ages 3-11 it is $165 more

We would love to do this, but with 3 DDs it is cost prohibitive. We will just buy the dolls when we go, and got to CRT and PSB.

I have to do this with my girls next time. We thought about it last time but we were doing BBB at nearly $200 each plus CRT and the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party so it was a bit much. But next time, definitely. I can't wait.
