I am REALLY not impressed with My Disney Experience software! I've spent 3 days so far manipulating it and it still does not do what it says it should do... Such poor software design. I think I'm going to stick with my spreadsheet system! the app/online stuff that supposed to work together and nicely share reservation info... It's sooooo sloooowwww always. And it keeps making me log in over and over. I finally got all the reservations made. One does not show up for anything... I even called to verify it because it's a credit card deposit one and it's there. Then it says "Selecting members of your dining party is optional, however, only identified Guests will be able to see the reservation in their plans." BUT if I want to actually select one (like my in-laws) it wants me to do them all (I made them for 10 because I don't know yet who's coming). If I do it on my phone, I can go to "Share event with family and friends" and then it says "Select all people in My Family List" whatever that means. BUT I can only select one person so its me and hubby OR me and my mom-in-law... but not both? Perhaps I should check the Dis for this stuff... I can't be the only one having problems with it! It works beautifully when I make the reservation if I select my mom-in-law and hubby but changing the people later does not.

It sucks. There's no other way to put it. Great idea, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE execution.

I agree it is a good idea but not at all perfected. I did not change my 21 year-old son's birth year when adding his birthday and as a result he is registered as an infant! When I called tech support as suggested by the app the CM could not fix it but had a good laugh over the problem. I'd be okay with it if he could eat for free!

Did you expect better from Disney IT? They have always done it "half fast". (if you know what I mean).:rotfl2:

Over the many years of Disney being on the internet, Disney has introduced new systems several times. The average period of time after it has done so to actually having the system work correctly has been four years, which is about the time it scraps that system and introduces another one.

You must have heard the very loud "argh"s coming from my house this week! Had MDE all set up with myself, DH, and DDs past couple of months. Had our next trip on there with dining resides. DH had his set up and we were linked. Only issue was that initially I had tried to set DH on my MDE (aka Mickey DH) and it didn't link to his so he had to set up his own (Donald DH) and then "friend" me and we were all linked up. Life was good! THEN...I read about linking your AP and I did so with mine. System locked up. Unfortunately I did this a bit after I had called the cruise line help desk to help with my castaway club number. I wanted to add that on and the "helpful" CM said I had a bunch of different accounts with different names from the "past" and deleted all but my current one. Somehow that completely wreaked havoc with all my Disney accounts. I've been on the phone with tech support multiple times to little avail. Now when I log into MDE I don't have any family linked, or ressies. hubby has me and the kids on his but no ressies. When I try to input them again the system says they are already linked to me. I've been told the ressies are in there and linked to Mickey DH which is why Donald DH can't see them. They can't change them over and delete Mickey DH. I can't see them because they are linked to some other me??? I've been using the same username since the beginning on this so still don't get that. Last time I called I was using the iPad app and the tech said I had to use the website on a "real" computer. I did so after speaking with him and still nothing. This am I discovered my disney movie rewards is now wiped out too so have to spend time talking with tech support again this afternoon (this time will crank up the "real" computer). Oh, and I again't can't log into the cruise line site with my castaway club number again. At least the tech folks were able to get my DVC account up and running and everything is working ok with that. Sigh! You'd think that a company like Disney would have an excellent IT system. Maybe they need to form an agreement with Apple. PS...glad I'm not the only one with issues with MDE. I'm not a tech wiz but do consider myself somewhat tech savvy and this has been beyond irritating.

Yup I should have known better!

Haha yeah that's about right, I'd say! I thought they'd get it right this time though since it sounded so cool!

:furious: :lmao: I am so glad I am not the only one with these problems! And maybe I didn't have as many problems as others! I was able to add my AP to it and my DVC room res with no problems. All but 1 dining res shows up as well. They also have my oldest listed as an infant and our infant not listed as an infant...
