My Disney Experience - FIX IT!!!!!!

So I "deactivated" the two KTTW cards MDE had associated with our account from our stay in March 2013 (located under the "my MB & cards" section)...however it STILL says we've got two 2 day park tix attached to our account as well. I KNOW we used those days up. So why are they still there (under "my tickets & reservations")? Free gift from the Disney glitch fairy? Cause i swear I'll use them if the incompetents over in the IT department insist on leaving it there.

For some reason used tickets stay in your account. You can call to have them removed or just ignore them. Do they show up under past or used tickets? There is a tab there in the drop down box where you can view old tickets?

I suspect that when you add your ticket to MDE even if you've used all the days in there it has been programmed to keep it because although it knows your trip is over, it can't actually 'read' if you have days left on it and this is to avoid having non expiring tickets disappearing after a trip when there are still park days left on them. It's just a guess but it's what I had assumed.

Okay, so apparently my seasonal pass shows under "Affiliations" on the APP, but not on the actual site. #WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot

No. they don't show up under past tix. So bizarre. I may call and see if they can tell me if there are days left on those tix.

I would still call and make sure its all together properly.

I went through the process of booking FP+s online, then when I called in, it turned out that 2 of the people in the group, their tickets weren't actually linked to their MBs ... so I was booking FPs on an MB without tickets and so their FPs weren't ACTUALLY booked.

I would just make sure everything is all associated properly.

Thankfully this is all for a solo trip next month, so I'm not TOO stressed about it. It's just odd.

I love the concept of MDE but the execution is terrible. Glitchy. While at WDW a few weeks ago and trying to access from the parks, it froze up or didn't work around 1/3 of the time. Fix it!

Quick update:

As of today, Disney still has not added our 6th family member to our MDE.

On the other side of the fence, Universal came out with AP rates today, lowering our nightly stay at Royal Pacific to $184 per night. I called to see if I could get the rate applied. I was on hold for about 3 seconds, and by the end of the pleasant 2 minute phone call, I had already received an updated email confirmation reflecting our new rate.

Just sayin'.

Out of curiosity, which AP for Uni do you have? Because that's a pretty sweet stinkin' deal. lol

That's awesome! I may consider a Universal AP in the future.

Totally worth it.

I think the pass itself was like $280. Renewal is about $160. Always have resort discounts, food discounts, merchandise discounts.

I love WDW like nothing else, but $700 for an AP now? Yeah - No thank you.

That's why I went with the seasonal pass and the monthly payments. I live in Florida, but I don't get up enough to really warrant a full AP. If I lived closer than 3 hours away, then I probably might have.

The UOR pass though, damn that almost seems too good to pass up. lol Maybe next year.

I just got recruited yesterday to work at the Disney Parks and Resorts Online division (http://wdpro.jobs). He specifically was targeting iOS and Android developers (which is what I do currently for my small business). Unfortunately the job is in Seattle.... and I just moved from there to Florida 6 months ago!

The iOS app being so buggy all of the time bothers me SOOOO MUCH! I want to work for Disney and fix it!

On the other hand, I don't need a job and I love living 5 minutes from WDW currently..... so nope, won't be helping you out Disney. Maybe if I ever move back to Seattle.

SO FIX IT.

I live 3 hours away by plane and I renew my Universal AP every year. They also have the monthly payment program.

I saw. It would definitely take less trips to "break even" on a UOR pass, that's for sure. I'd love to be able to get to Universal more often. The only reason I stay at WDW so much is because I always stay Value, but with hotel prices like that w/ the UOR pass, I'd definitely consider a short weekend stay (which is all I usually do at WDW as well)

I called to have them apply my AP to me. Well now I have an AP applied to me but it's my husbands. I called AGAIN and he said it wouldn't be a problem, I guess we will see in May. My next question is will I get the charm for my MB since I have an AP? That would be helpful for discounts. I know they have to work out the kinks but oy vey.

I want to cry. I really just want to cry. I am not a techie, I am not tech-savvy, I barely own a DUMB phone (7 year old tracfone that lives in the minivan) much less a smartphone… and I am trying to plan what I'd anticipated as being our big bash dream trip for DD's 21 birthday in October. This'll be our 25th trip to WDW, and I've been thinking it'll be amazing, wonderful, a true experience; DH has even decided to join us, and we are all taking a few days off from work to have a real family vacation; doesn't happen too often, trust me. I even went out on a limb and rented DVC points to stay at a BWV studio, and 5 day tickets are on the way from UT. This is big for us; we are usually offsite, or if onsite get discounted value rooms, never hop… but this is the vacation we've never had, all the anniversaries never celebrated, all the graduation parties missed, to celebrate DD's 21st at the Food and Wine Festival.

ANd now this. FP+, MDE, MM+, everything requiring smart phones, electronic management, etc. OK, I am not stupid, either; after all, they don't just hand out PhDs, right? I can do this, I can. I went to the MDE site, put in my username and password (from 3/13 trip), and up popped my account! OK!! DD's already on there, but look… there are two KTTK cards from last time, still attached to our names. OK, I'll overlook this and move forward. Time to add DH. Look… he's already in the system, but to be "nice" I decided to change his title from "Mr." to "Dr." Mistake #1… because I flip-flopped between screens for about 10 minutes until it finally added DH with his original title. OK… except now I have two "Mr.s" and one "Dr." DH on the account. I can ignore this… let's customize the magic bands. I was pleased to see that there were only 3 MBs on the account. Picked a color for me, one for DH, one for DD, but as I hit submit, DD changed her mind. I can update, right… yup, there it is, changed the color, submit.. NOPE. Message screen telling me that there is a glitch as I haven't changed her name. Tried a couple of times to submit… finally deleted and re-entered her name, exactly as it was, and voila! DONE.

And I really am done. :furious: UT tickets should arrive in the next couple of days. I can't decide if I should link them or just sit on it all until 180 days out, give or take, for when I make ADRs. Do I even want to do this? Is it possible to call Disney Dining anymore, talk to a human, make the ADRs, and NOT link them to anything? Not even to my MDE account? Honestly, this is already more stress and bother and work, and my enthusiasm for what was supposed to be a dream vacation as a family is already waning. If I can't even order a stupid band in a selected color with a specific name on it, how am I going to add ADRs, manage FP+, etc.? If the DVC reservation wasn't paid for, we'd not be going… especially when I see I could get annual passes to Universal for what I paid for 5 days (no hopping) at Disney.

FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I'm thinking I'll take a page from the DisDads board, where :thumbsup2<-- this is not a thumb and this --> is not a banana!!
