My Disney Experience - FIX IT!!!!!!

I don't understand why tickets that have no days left on them are still showing up. I have two on my account from a trip in March 2013!

This! DH and I also have old tickets showing up on MDE as active, and we used all of the days on them...

Even if we hadn't, they would have expired by now...so that they still show up on the account as valid/active is a bit confusing.

I think that there are some interfaces between the hodgepodge of databases that Disney IT has linked in this monstrosity that periodically cause data corruption. There are functions that some guests (or maybe CMs) perform more often than others that are more likely to cause the data corruption.

It's going to be tough to isolate the issue while the system is in production now that they've taken all the legacy systems out of service.

People are just making I hard on themselves. It is not complicated. I have not had any issues and it seems really that most people don't

I'm not sure why people can't look past their own experiences and realize they don't apply to everyone. It happens all the time in these threads, "I didn't experience issues so no one does" makes no sense.

By the way, did you poll most users of MDE to see if they had issues? As so many people like to point out, the DIS is a minority. Not everyone who has issues comes here for help. Some have the notion that Disney should help them, crazy talk, I know.

I think what Delmar is saying is "don't worry about it". Just show up and it'll be fine, if it isn't I'm sure Disney will compensate you in some way to make you happy.

What Delmar is saying is "I live 10 minutes away and can go whenever I want, so a couple lost hours at GS isn't a big deal to me."

Truthfully, I don't find it complicated or confusing. I just find that it's not working fully properly and sorry, but I refuse to waste time standing at GS one my vacation for something that is completely out of my hands.

My guess would be that if Disney rolled a new program that was a net benefit to those who maximized the FP system in the past and had the same IT issues, that these people would be a lot more forgiving of any IT issues that they experienced.

We have 2 reservations for a family trip and have been able to check-in online for one room but cant for the other. I have talked with IT and nobody knows why but it can't be fixed but I will not be able to do advance check-in. When I try to check-in online, the other ressie always comes up and I can't get the second one at all. IT could not either but it is a problem caused by MDE.

They told me there is no solution but we can check-in when we arrive. They all praised the quick check-in process and assured me it is not a problem. :rolleyes1 Yes, I know but it is offered and I wanted to do it!!!

This is a simple problem compared to others but it IS a problem.

Yes. It's clear as day! This is what I don't get. What possessed them to take away their backup before their new product was fully functional?! :confused3

I was unaware you had conducted a poll on this. Did you run it on this board or in the parks?

The fact that people spend hours on the phone with IT CMs who can't fix their problem doesn't support the theory that these are self created problems and the system is sound.

The Dis Podcast did an informal poll and 40% of respondents said the new FP+ system has negatively impacted their stays. That's a huge percentage of a very very popular podcast.

Exactly. Hell, why not just put these on there as well:

*sigh* those were the good old days.

Well yeah, but it didn't impact one of the people posting on this thread, so obviously it doesn't count.

...we did survive FP+.

I love it. I can see the next PR campaign- "come to Walt Disney World. You will probably survive our new Fast Pass Plus system."

And that joke is in no way a comment for or against FP+ and definitely nothing about the poster quoted. I am impressed that with her Disney and non- Disney issues mentioned from her trip, she seems to have a positive attitude. That phrase just made me laugh.

Could it be a user error? It's possible, but it's not probable. All of the complaints describe the same issues. It's too coincidental so it's most likely on Disney's end, and I'm thankful I've never experienced them.

I'm not even very tech-savy and could tell just by playing around with it last night that it's awful and can't be relied upon. six error messages just signing in (with correct user name and password). But honestly, I think Disney's site is awful too--really slow and tempermental.

I don't think so. I joke around, but I'm pretty quick to pick up computer issues, and it's definitely the site. I've been on the phone with Disney IT and they can't figure it out either, which means more than likely, it's a bug.

Oh no no, I wasn't implying that it was ACTUALLY a user error on your part, I was just saying in GENERAL, there's always a possibility that it's a user error, but in THIS case, there's no way.
