My Disney Experience - FIX IT!!!!!!

I feel sorry for those of you that are having a hard time. I don't know if I've just been lucky or what, but I've not experienced any of the problems you all are describing (aside from "old" tickets still showing up, but I've disabled them). I'd probably feel the same if I were.

Exactly. Hell, why not just put these on there as well:
haha just put everything starting in 1971 and clog ip the servers. Seriously I don't know why they would want useless information confusing their guests on the accounts.

My only concern about the old tickets showing up is, I don't know which ones are the old ones and which ones are the new ones. My guess is, I can go into the lockbox where all our vacation stuff is and find the ticket numbers for the current ones and disable the old ones. I just don't see why Disney would complicate things by putting old tickets with no days remaining on them on your profile. What purpose does it serve?

Exactly. How anyone can defend that as making ANY sense is a mystery to me.

LOL - They should start putting all of your dining reservations along with any merchandise you've purchased over the years on there as well. Why the heck not?

I don't disagree there. It does seem to be rather pointless.

I tried to log in at the parks the other day and it wouldn't let me. Tried to log in on my PC at home and had to change my PW. Finally got in and all our our AP were missing and I can't add them back in. Oye. So at some point in time, I'm going to have to call them I guess.

Because I don't want to get there and have to waste time on my vacation with MB's that don't have any tickets (or the wrong tickets) attached to them. I get it, that living 15 minutes from WDW, this wouldn't be a concern for you, but this is my 1 vacation of the year I get with my family, and I don't want to waste any of it dealing with this crap.

IT can't guarantee that outcome for you. No one can. And if you can make FP selections then you have valid tickets. It's not that complicated.

Which is why so many of us have been shouting from the rooftops that this system was ill-advised from the get-to.

Now just imagine you're calling long distance from Canada to make that phone call, or the UK, or Australia... just saying -- many people don't realize that Disney still doesn't have toll free numbers for use outside the US. I'm sorry this is happening to all of you, but when you post here keep in mind that a ton of people will post that the system works great, they can't wait to book their own FP's (that's actually my favourite, since it shows they have never used the system) and that it's probably your fault and you're doing something wrong. We actually have 4 old KTTW cards showing up for each of us. Theoretically, I could use them instead of MBs but actually only one of them was an RFID card (which of course I threw out, because I don't keep old room keys). None of them ever had tickets attached (we book through group reservations and that wasn't possible with the kind of tickets we get -- but it is possible now, which IS great). We did a split stay so each of us also has 2 MBs. But... the only one you need to worry about it the one for your upcoming trip. So make sure you get the new MBs customized on time, double check that your current tickets are assigned to the right people, and double check that any ADRs and FPs are assigned to the right people. Even if the app is glitchy or the system is sometimes down the information will most likely still be there. If you can't get help now and aren't going for a while, I would wait. The system seems to get overloaded when it's busy, and just this week they are starting the test for offsite ticket holders. Throughout our trip, whenever they were updating the software for staff use or public use, or had extremely busy park days, the whole MDE system had issues. But I can tell you that the Concierge desk at our resort could always see everything that was supposed to be there, except when they were getting an update (which happened 3 times that I know of). If you get to your resort and your MBs won't unlock the door, or get to the parks and they don't work it is most likely a MB issue -- the information is all still there and somebody with an Ipad will be able to help you. Or you will be sent to guest services. Or you can call tech support (or a CM will). Or they will let you through anyways and reset your MB. Yes, the system is not working the way it should and there are issues all over but there are a lot of small fixes that they can use to keep you going. If you are not there now and are having tech issues, remember that the people who are having issues in the parks right now are also calling those numbers, as well as CMs who are trying to help those guests. Like right now in MK, a ton of people are there for EMH and some of them will be having issues getting through the turnstiles -- definitely not a good time to call. So using what you know about low crowd times etc try to call back when there is less phone traffic.[/so it is reasonable to have to stand in line at guest relations in order to get into a park after spending thousands of dollars on tickets?

Amazing, last night I couldn't help but think all the new rules about when you can book and who can book and how much you can book are starting to sound like tax laws...

Pretty soon we will need the CPA equivalent of a Disney guide to book our trip

And they said legacy FP was too complicated....... :faint:

when I log on to my DH MDE account it shows him as having 5 days remaining. IT dept cant explain it and says the days are there and I know he doesnt have anything remaining. I purchased 6day PH for him and my boys 2 weeks ago but am afraid to link them. So if the Disneys IT dept doesnt know who does? I agree I would rather get this sorted out now rather than have to waste time when I there.

If you have new tickets I would link those -- these can always be unlinked later if you make changes.

Take all of them with you and have the old ones checked at Concierge or GS.

I have premium annual passes(expired 2 years ago) and premier annual passes(expired 6 months ago) on my account. Heck I can still access the AP site and book a room with an AP discount if I want. Our last trip I made at least 10 calls to the IT department. The program had just rolled so I wasn't too concerned about it. That was 8 months ago. You would think they would have the problem fixed.

My guess would be that if Disney rolled a new program that was a net benefit to those who maximized the FP system in the past and had the same IT issues, that these people would be a lot more forgiving of any IT issues that they experienced.

so it is reasonable to have to stand in line at guest relations in order to get into a park after spending thousands of dollars on tickets?

Not at all -- but many people are doing that right now and GS may be calling the same IT techs that you are trying to get through to. And with the offsite test starting this week, I'm sure they're a little extra busy.

We did it. We had issues. We got them fixed. And while it is right up there with the blizzard that happened when our plane was landing here, and the fact that somebody made a copy of my credit card and it got blocked in the middle of our vacation, we did survive FP+. I was happy for the negative posts I read before we left because it helped me take all of the issues in stride -- if I had arrived expecting the system to work properly I would have lost it.

People are just making I hard on themselves. It is not complicated.
I have not had any issues and it seems really that most people don't

We've had no issues either and I do have a ton of old junk on the bands/cards page but since I have no reason to visit that page, it doesn't bother me.

We've been using it on a daily/weekly basis since July so I'd think we would have run into problems at some point but we haven't.

It IS complicated. Needlessly bloated, glitchy, confusing and complicated.

Magical Memories :confused3

I think what Delmar is saying is "don't worry about it". Just show up and it'll be fine, if it isn't I'm sure Disney will compensate you in some way to make you happy.
