I have an S5 Galaxy Active with TMobile running 4.4.4, and it won't update any further and the MDE won't work on it anymore . I hate to give it up its a great phone and paying hundreds of dollars just to make one app work is hard to swallow, but we shall see come trip time.

As others have said, you can use your phone's browser to use the Disney website while on your trip. I've even seen some users that prefer the website over the app. This may be what I do, but I am in the market for other reasons as well.

FWIW, the latest MDE app works fine on my Galaxy S5. Downloaded the latest on Thursday.

Hi Tiki.... when you say you downloaded the latest.... do you mean version of android? or MDE app version? I have a Galaxy S5 model SM-S902L and I am desperately trying to figure out the best way to get the MDE app on my phone (kitkat 4.4.s)

The latest version of MDE (4.6.1) requires Android 5 or higher.

okay, thanks Michael..... tiki said that a few weeks ago, he got MDE to work on his Galaxy S5... was just inquiring on how he did it.

In the U.S., unfortunately, the wireless carrier generally controls the OS updates on the phone. In this case, your phone is a Straight Talk variant of the S5, and Straight Talk has elected not to push out anything newer than 4.4.2 (KitKat), even through Samsung has released both Lollipop (5.x) and Marshmallow (6.x) for this device. Tiki likely has a carrier locked S5 that did push out a newer OS (AT&T and T-Mobile variants have 6.0 for example), or has a factory unlocked phone.
