Hi all, I'm having some problems getting my 12 digit reference number from WDTC to link up to my Disney experience.

I've tried calling and emailing and each time I'm told it won't be available until the 1st of April at the earliest.

We are staying at OKW from 28th of September 2014 and booked in October last year.

I've explained I was to link them up so that I can book my ADR's when its 180+10 but they've told me i'm wrong with that too and I can only book them at 180 days which is 1st April.

I'm getting nowhere with WDTC.

Any other avenues I can go down to get my 12 digit number to link up?

Go to this site https://secure.reservations.disney.go.com/ibcwdw/en_US/_framework/components/processEngine?name=UnauthGuest_TAGENTGUEST_PreArrival_Default_Page&process=false&pageRender=true

Put in your details. When it asks you how you booked, check "Through a Travel Agent" (WDTC UK falls under a TA on the US booking system). It will ask you for your check in date, resort and first and last name. It should display your reservation with an alphanumeric reference. This reference will be able to link up your booking with your MDE account. Once you have that, you can book your ADR's through the app and you don't need the 12 digit number.

Be warned if doing it tonight, Disney's MDE site has been down for most of the day. Mine is back up but some guests' accounts are not fully functional yet. It seems they are working on it and it's slowly coming right.

Thank you for your quick reply, i've tried to do as you have suggested but it's asking for a confirmation number and the two I have from WDTC aren't working when I put them in.

Sorry I forgot you needed a reservation number for that site. It's the one I always used when the UK worked on a totally separate site and I wanted in on the main system.

What format are the references that you have? Mine alphanumeric one is ABC12345. The one on my booking confirmation is 123456 (all numbers)

I somehow missed a part of your first post.

The 180+10 doesn't mean you can book 190 days out. It means you wait until 180 days but you can book for check in day plus 10 days out all in one go. The plus 10 becomes relevant from your check in day. Hope that makes sense.

What is your date of arrival at OKW?

Your reference with 6 numbers sounds like the WDTC confirmation number. That is their standard format. I'm not familiar with a numerical 8 digit number. I was hoping someone else would show up on here with some info but looks like the UK Board folk went to a party tonight and forgot to send our invitations :rotfl:

Not very helpful but the best I can suggest is to just keep calling back. I have always managed to get my 12 digit reference from Disney, but I know so many people who have had to make multiple calls to get it. It all comes down to who you speak to.

Thank you for trying to help me. My actual arrival date for OKW is 28 September.

I've found an email from WDTC in which its reminding me that I can book ADR's at 190 days so i'm going to send them that and ask why they are providing conflicting information by telling me I can't do anything until 180 days.

I'll hopefully get my confirmation number before the 190 days, i'll be hoping mad if I can't get booked into some of the popular restaurants

Okay so April 1st is your official first day to make ADR's but you can make them through the first 10 days of your stay. On April 2nd, you can make for the following day and so on until you get to the end. So they were correct when they gave you the date but they are wrong about the 190 days. It's a common mistake people make. Unfortunately they are not the ones who should be making it, but it happens. As long as you know before your window opens and don't lose out, all is good, even though frustrating.

You can book your FP+ on July 30th.

I use this calculator to check. Note the US date format (month, day, year). A handy little tool :)

You will need either an 8 digit reference in the format ABC123457 or a 12 digit reference which usually 44 and is all numbers. I also managed to get my in laws booking to link using the 6 digit UK reference.

With the ADR booking it is 180 days before check in plus 10 days which they can sometimes mis-leadingly term as 'up to 190 days'

If you fail to get the number you can always call and they will able to book your ADR by phone.

My 8 digit number didn't work - however my smaller 6 digit reference in the header of the email did! Have you tried both?

My 6 digit WDTC confirmation number worked for linking for me. We're not there until 20th October, and I linked them up a couple of months ago. Got the whole family on there - although my kids will be 11+12 in October (so disney "adults"), MDE option for family is adult ("18+") or child. It wouldn't link my kids as children, so they are now 18+ on there (although I've also entered their correct birth dates!). Not sure it will make any difference anywhere, so not too fussed. They're adults on the free dining anyway.

Have you tried calling the MDE & online Help number to see if they can help? Number from Disney.com is 0800 169 0749

My six digit number worked as well, but not at first. The people on the phone were pretty useless, but it sorted itself out in the end.

Hi all thanks for getting back to me, I've not had internet access to be able to responde until now.

I've tried using the 6 and 8 digit numbers provided by WDTC on both the MDE website and app and neither work.

I'm still having the same battle with WDTC and seem to be getting nowhere even after speaking to a manager, they keep telling me they are working on our US confirmation number and to call back in a few days, but they can't tell me when its going to be done.

I've heard the same lines for several weeks now and i'm very frustrated at having the same arguments about when we can book ADR's and even after telling them that they confirmed in an email we can do it from 190 days they disputed this and i've had to forward on a copy of their email.

I've found their customer service to be extremely poor and i'm now at my whits end and no futher forward to getting this confirmation number. I've been told by the manager I spoke to that i'll get a call back by the end of this week once they investigate the email they sent me.

I can totally understand your frustration.

I don't know what else to suggest about the reference number but can confirm that without a doubt, the person who said you can make reservations 190 days out is wrong. It is possible that they worded their sentence badly because theoretically, if you book at 180 days out and book ADR's for the first 10 days, your reservation on your 10th day is actually 190 days out from your window but it starts at 180 days from check in. The system will let you know very quickly if you are trying too early so if it reassures you, you can give it a go at 190 days but I can guarantee you that unless you are lucky enough for the website to be having a system glitch (and it has happened although rarely) you will not be able to start booking until 11 am UK time on day 180 from check in.
