First of all, I am new to this forum, so excuse me if I mess this up.

I am traveling to Disney in June (4th-12th) and staying at the Saratoga Springs Resort with seven other people (8 total). We are on the deluxe dining plan for the first time (we usually do the regular dining plan) and we are hoping to get our money's worth by visiting 2-credit restaurants; however we do not want to spend all of our time eating nor do we want to eat too much!! Our reservations are as follows:

Mon. June 4th: arrive at MCO around noon. Our first meal is at Fulton's Crab
House around 5 PM
Tue. June 5th: Mama Melrose (not sure what time, I believe its around 5 PM)
Wed. June 6th: Spirit of Aloha @ 5:15 PM
Thurs. June 7th: The Crystal Palace @ 9:30 AM, Cinderella's Royal Table @
8:10 PM
Fri. June 8th: Yachtsman Steakhouse @ 7:15 PM
Sat. June 9th: California Grill @ 7:20 PM
Sun. June 10th: Coral Reef (again, not sure what time)
Mon. June 11th: Narcoossee's @ 5:30 PM (wanted later but no luck)
Tues. June 12th: 50's Prime TIme Cafe @ 11:25 AM, Flight home @ 6 PM

I guess I shouldn't be too concerned with eating too much, although if my calculations are correct I believe we each have about 8 extra meal credits as well as 16 snack per person.

I should also add that I wanted to use some of my extra credits to dine at places like Le Cellier and Les Chefs for lunch but I am not sure if I want to compromise my time at the parks.

I would love to hear from some of you and see what you guys think! Thanks!

You will want to post over at the restaurant or dining plan boards, but I will tell you having a TS lunch and a TS dinner takes a lot of time out of your day. I prefer a big breakfast, a light, brief snack at lunch and a table service dinner.

I have only done it once, when I had a light breakfast, TS lunch and TS dinner, but I did it on a solo, all resorts, no parks trip.

Although the OP's dining itinerary looks great:thumbsup2 I have to agree with you that it's a lot of time out of your day. We did the DxDP while staying CL once and we won't do it again. We were chasing dining ressies our whole time. For us it was just to much time lost. My DH is right with you, he loves a big breakfast while on vacation.

Isn't it great to go on vacation and step outside the box once in a while.

I grow weary of my bagel and oatmeal every morning.

For me, vacation is all about bread and butter (or croissant and butter) and an occassional sausage link or two during the week. Oh and the home fries.......

I really, really miss the breakfast at POR. It was nice to sit down in a quiet place, have a nice big breakfast and get right on the bus to the parks. I miss their sweet potato pancakes. Now, there is where I don't mind spending a couple of extra minutes at a sitdown place.

We do DxDP and enjoy it. I love the parks at RD and am not much of a breakfast eater, so we usually do a lunch (when parks start getting hot and crowded). It provides a nice refresher during the day. Then we do a signature dinner. I am with food people so we really enjoy nice meals. My 13 year old son asks me more about our ADRs than other things we are going to do. Our must do is Cali Grill and Wishes on the observation deck.

We also like to make breakfast ADRs for inside the park, early before the park opens. We have done Crystal Palace before and are doing it again. So nice to walk Main Street and take pictures of the castle with hardly anyone else there. We are trying Tusker House an hour before park opening this year.

Your plan looks good. We like Brown Derby in DHS, but have never tried Mama Melrose.
