My Disney book collection

Probably my favorite of all the Disney things that I collect - my Disney book collection - is finally inventoried and displayed. My DH promised to someday make me a custom bookshelf, but until then, at least there out where I can enjoy them!

The top shelf is about 6 foot long, so I couldn't fit it in the photo.

Yes, Mary Blair is one of my favorites too. I'm glad I sprung the regular retail on that one when it came out. I try to find many of the books at a discount or second hand. That one is not easy to find now. One of my biggest regrets is a few years ago seeing one of the prints from the Contemporary guest room walls up on ebay and I didn't have the money to bid on it. I have photos of myself sitting under it from a stay 25 years ago at the Contemporary and it didn't go for big bucks (just out of my price range) \,

My DH got me this vase last year for my bday and I absolutely love it. It came in a matching box which I now use to store photos.

That vase is SOOOO awesome! Very lucky lady! We are fortunate enough to have 4 Blairs right not 3 from Contemporary and 1 concept drawing. They are still framed and so nice to have on the walls. But now-a-days they sell for so much that it'll break the bank. I would never let that vase go ever! Truely a rarity in itself, never knew it existed!

Wow, beautiful collection! I would have so much fun organizing a collection of that size, but unfortunately I only have a handful of Disney books myself.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I just love my books. I added the "Art of the Lion King" and "Walt Disney, The American Dreamer" by Tumbusch this week.

MaterializedHaunt - No, sadly, there is no 5 legged goat as much as I was expecting one. I also just saw your post with your match collection. I'll PM you. It's hard to tell by the photos, but I may have 1 or 2 that you didn't have in your pics.
