My Disney App ate my BOG reservation

I posted this on the MNSSHP thread, but wanted to put it here too. The My Disney app ate my BOG dinner reservation for the first party night, and I am heart broken!

I got one of the 7pm reservations when they opened up Monday morning to operate during the first hour of MNSSHP, and I was over the moon. I was playing on the app tonight and saw an opening for two on our date for 6:15pm and I couldn't believe it. I thought it would be perfect as we could eat earlier and be done by party start. I clicked to take it and it let me know I had the conflicting 7pm reservation that I would have to cancel. I hit ok thinking that it would cancel the 7 pm while simultaneously booking the 6:15 pm, as it does on the site. But instead it canceled the 7pm and left me without the 6:15pm. I tried so quickly to recover the 7pm, but it was already gone.

Just wanted to share my story in case anyone else is also trying to alter times! I feel sick. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, I also had this problem on the app. It will cancel your existing reservation and then not book the new one. If I know I have an overlap and I am trying to change I will do it from the website and not the app.

Sorry you lost your reservation. I realize there is probably nothing they can do, but did you try to call?

Sorry it happened to you as well! Yes, I did call as soon as it happened, but there was nothing they could do. I'm going to just keep checking, but I am knocking my head on the table over this one!

I had this happen as well on an Ohana reservation. I wanted a different time. I lost one and then couldn't get the other.

Ugh, so frustrating! I am going to keep plugging away and hope for the best.

Me too. I haven't found Ohana. We are going week of Thanksgiving. I had it booked in May and since I lost it I still haven't found a Dinner. We did get a breakfast but really want a Dinner.
