Thanks to YoYoAurora - I have managed to save my work from publisher as a jpeg and I have learned how to post pictures on these threads! Gotta love a day when you learn something new!

Here is my challenge - I am trying to disign a crest/logo/emblem for my DS5 (soon to be 6) birthday party. He wants a spy party and we have decided to make a spy training academy - naming it S.T.I.N.K - kind of a pet name for him, really long story - stands for Spy Training Institute for New Kids (still think I might change the 'new kids' - not sold on that yet - any suggestions?)

I have tried my hand at disigning and I am not thrilled with the results.

I was trying to make it look official - but I think the flowery border might be too much for a boy's party. Plus, I don't have a disney reference in there yet. I was hoping to print the image on t-shirts, make note pads, signs, and use it on the invitations.

Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Don't think you will be stepping on my creative toes.

I can't help with the DISign part of your call for help but wanted to share an idea for invitations we used for a son and dad school event. We used file folders for the invitations and put Confiential on the front in red stencil print. On the inside, we did a letter to potential agents. If the agent accepted the mission, they opened a smaller envelop which contained the mission (party) details. We printed the details in a text box and filled it with small red Xs. When you hold the decoder (red cellophane) over the box, you could read the details. It took a few tries to get the size of the Xs right and the color of the details dark enough to see them under the celllophane, but light enough to not read without the decoder. The boys thought this was so fun.

To add a disney twist to your spy theme, have you thought about Perry/Agent P for the party? It's so popular right now.

For our event, we did a spy theme and asked the adults helping with the party to wear trench coats, sunglasses, blue tooths, cameras, hats, etc to look like spies. It was alot of fun. We also gave the kids a silly passcode to use for admission.

Have fun with the planning!

I love the passcode idea! Kids really seem to get into that sort of thing.

I am doing pretty well with the party details, but I really wanted to get the crest right since it is going to be printed or displayed on so many things at the party. I guess I am going to have to keep fiddling with it.

You could change the border to wheat or more government looking with a cord border. You also could use spy Mickey, Cody Banks or Spy Kids. Just a thought. Sounds like a fun idea.
