My dining plans - opinions please.

Boardwalk is well worth a visit for a stroll. There is entertainment like jugglers in the evening.

Have you got Sanaa on the list - well with a visit for an early dinner to see the animals.

Will look again at Beaches and Cream.
Saana is on the list. What is the best time to book to get a chance of seeing the animals?

Chef mickeys was our least favourite character meal this time, we did love 1900 Park Fare though - character interaction was brilliant.
We also loved T rex, had 1 ADR booked but managed to get another one when we were there. We also enjoyed Raglan Road.
For our hollywood studios day we went to Beaches and Cream as there wasn't anything much that took our fancy at HS, we did hollywood and vine for breakfast one day though

Hoop de doo is a must do every trip for us

When we went a few years ago we booked for 5 and checked in at about 4.15. We requested a window seat and got one it was great food, service and view.

I would not go back to Chef Mickey, except that the kids really loved it. I am going to look at either a signature like Cali Grill, Hollywood and Vine (for the characters) or Beaches and Cream. Will try to go to the Boardwalk too as I missed that last time. T Rex looks good but I think my youngest would be terrified - she is scared of most things lol. We had to move seats in The Rainforest Café as she was scared of the gorilla.

We did too. Not sure I would do the Fantasmic package again though, as the seating wasn't that great imo.

We're doing (first visit - 3 adults 3 kids (11,10,8))

Chef Mickey Dinner - were staying in Contemporary
Hoop Dee Doo Review
Mama Melrose / Fantasmic Package
Arkerhaus (sp?)
Ohana Dinner
Crystal Palace Breakfast on last day

well thats all ive booke for while were on site and on the last day
we're offsite for 9 days so will book one or two more that are out of pocket.

I just looked up http://www.raglanroad.com/
and nearly fell off my seat laughing
(though i just came back to london from Ireland today - my wife is Irish and we spend a good 2 months a year in Co.Limerick - so think I'll pass on that !)

Sure the food looks good though

We did all of the above! Chef Mickey was the girls' favourite meal (they were 12, 8 and 5). Hoop de Doo was cheesy fun with lots of sangria ;). Mama Melrose had great food - my youngest loved the Minestrone and the meatball cake. Akershus was one of my favourites - I really enjoyed the food, the photo package and the princess interaction. 'Ohana was mine and DH favourite dessert - try to get there early to enjoy a pre-meal cocktail or wander down to the beach afterwards and watch the water pageant and the fireworks. Crystal Palace was fab - book really early and you will have the park to yourself for some great photos.

I did a trip report - link in my signature.

My Dad was Irish but I still like the idea of the 'oirish' theme and the food sounds good.:rotfl:

I can't really offer an opinion as we haven't been yet but are finding the decision making hard too. Our only definites are CP (as we have one huge eeyore fan and one huge tigger fan) and saana. You have a lot of the other restaurants we are considering on our list - I think in the end it will come down to which places are convenient for where we are going to be. :goodvibes
