"How do we buy more points?" I was floored. I told him that you guys would be proud. We've just booked two trips for this year and realize that if we want to go down again before Dec. 05 we will need to borrow, etc. I think we just might need another 100 points!

My question is....if we get another 100 points at another location, like VB, can we use those points combined with our BCV points to reserve at BCV during the 11-month window? Thanks.

Nope, sorry, you can only use Resort X points at Resort X at the 11 month window. You can use the Resort X points at any DVC resort at the 7 month window.

We own at 3 different resorts. What has worked for us is to book 11 months out for Sunday through Thursday and at 7 months out use the other resort points to book Friday and Saturday. Since the week-end points are higher they are usually still available. I've never had any problems at the 7 month window yet. But we don't go during school holidays and summers.

Another scenario is, say you own points at BCV and want to purchase an add-on at SSR. You could use the 11-month window to book at BCV for part of your stay, and use the 11-month window to book at SSR for the rest of your stay. Then, in the 7 month window, switch to one or the other (if there is availability).

Still another scenario is to use all your BCV points for this year to book at 11 month and borrow from next year's BCV to get all the points you need at the same resort for your entire stay. Then you would have still have this year's SSR points for another trip.
