I don't think any of you are "playing" at all. Just the tone and choice of words are giveaways that you mean it. "Under Orders", "Allowed", "I told him . . .".
I guess I am a different type of DW, one that goes a little more with the flow and understands not everyone has the same opportunities. I don't rain on others' fortunate parades, especially my DH's.
Oh, please. Get a grip. If you couldn't tell from the posts that they were kidding, you need to take a step back. Each of the posts I could tell the kidding tone in them. I seriously doubt that these woman are scathing with orders to their husbands as to what they can and can't do while on a trip to DW.
My Dh company went to the magic kingdom cause they all got award for the president yes Bragging lol and the military paid for them to go to the MK for a day. I was sad I couldn't go but all the kids and I did was give him a shopping list of what we wanted and my camera and told him to have a good time. He mainly sat in front of the castle calling me cause that is our favorite spot and he was missing me. I did get Awesome miss u gifts.

I'm so JEALOUS !!!!! He'll be there all week. Yes, it's for "work", but lots of leisure too. My DS8 and DD5 have made him SWEAR he will not set foot on a ride of any kind while he's there without us. He is allowed however to go to DtD to buy us lots of presents! And I told him he has to go to the pin shop at DtD and call me to report on all the new pins.
I knew you were kidding around. Geez, some people really need to lighten up.
My husband used to work in West Palm Beach for 1 1/2 years while I stayed here in Virginia. (He has contract jobs.) What was I thinking?!?!?! lol - Actually, I am in school part time so even if I wanted to I could not go.
I'm actually serious abt that, but my DH would never want to go without us anyway. He's knows how much it would kill me. It would be like if I went to Augusta to the Masters without him. We have this kind of understanding with each other. Besides not to act like a martyr, but my DH does get to go to quite a few fantastic places for "work" (Hawaii, London, Switzerland) where many of the wives come along, but bc of our home situation, it's impossible for me to ever go along. He realizes how unfair that is to me, and never pushes the envelope by running to WDW when I am home with kids 24/7 for a week. I know I am lucky to have such a sweet DH !!!!
I also told my DH NOT to go into a park. Our family has a first time trip scheduled for Nov and I want us all to experience everything together the first time.
Yes, that's something very special that should definitely not be spoiled! We're staying at AKV for the first time in October. It's our home DVC resort, but have resisted the urge to even go into the AKL for the last 2 times we've been to WDW. I love the moment when we walk into checkin at a new resort that we've never seen before. I asked him to resist that urge this week yet again so we can have that "WOW!" moment together in October! I can't wait to see it!

It's funny though, because when I first met DH, he worked for a company that contracted with WDW and DL (we are in SoCal). He has been to the WDW parks, but only backstage. He has not yet experienced the magic from the other side. Especially through the eyes of our six year old boys!
