He's been working on an addition to our house for, oh, about 15 years now. When our oldest was a year old, he told me to go visit my parents for a few weeks, and when we got back our second bathroom would be completed. Our oldest is now 17 years old, and the toilet for our second bathroom is still in it's original box
We outgrew our house 2 kids and quite a few years ago, but DH is a contractor, and therefore wants to do most of the work himself so that it's done right, thus the reason our addition is still not added on. Today I made a bet with him: if he can get the addition completed by September 1,2004 ( I made sure to be specific about the year), then I will pay for an upgrade for our planned trip to WDW in 2005 to a concierge room. If it isn't finished, then he pays for the upgrade. The way I look at it, It's a win-win for me- either way our addition finally at least gets started, and we get to stay at the concierge level
I had my inlaws and our kids witness the bet, just to make sure. So .... the toilet-in-a-box may finally be installed
