if anyone is interested I'm posting a pre-trip report titled "Here We Go Again".
If anyone has time and would like to comment, I would appreciate it. I'm still posting at the moment. We're going to be there on Jan 17th - Jan 23rd.
We're so excited about the new dining plan and can't wait to try the restaurants we've been reading about in the review section.

Thanks everyone for posting and sharing. I've learned so much from here.

Noticed a few were reading so I thought I better put something in the post.
I have all of my ADR's made except Liberty Tree Tavern

Day 1 - Wolfgang Puck Cafe - lunch
Narcoossee's - dinner

Day 2 Royal Princess Buffett in Norway - breakfast
Chip and Dales Harvest Feast at the Garden Grill - dinner group of 14

Day 3 - 1900 Park Fare - breakfast
Artist Point - dinner

Day 4 - Crystal Palace - breakfast
Liberty Tree Tavern - thinking about this one for lunch
O'hana -dinner group of 14

Day 5 O'hana - breakfast
California Grill - dinner

Day 6 Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine - breakfast
Mama Melrose - lunch
Concourse Steakhouse - dinner group of 14

Day 7 - Chef Mickey

All of the places that are highlighted - first time trying the restaurants
I'm really going to miss Boma's - it's one of our favorites but no time to work it in this trip.
Also, I know that many of the restaurants are business casual. Do you ever see jeans and tennis shoes?

Thanks for reading!

Bump!

Any thoughts, anyone?

How are LTT and Mama Melrose? These are the two I'm anxious about.

Thanks!

Liberty Tree is served family style, I have never eaten there but have heard complaints about there not being enough food. As for Mama Melrose it is pretty good and I highly suggest trying to do that with priority seating for fantasmic.

Well, I believe that LTT only serves things family style at dinner--their lunch menu is not quite the same.
Also-how could there not be enough food when you can get refills of whatever you want?

LTT is an a la carte menu, not an all-you-care-to-eat type menu. We ate there and had enough food...not an over-abundance, but plenty.

We went there in September. They brought out all of the food and if we wanted more, they brought more. This was dinner though, NOT lunch.

we're going there for lunch (LTT)
we'll have to order off the menu but it does sound pretty good.

We'll miss Fantasmic, Mama Melrose is for lunch. We'll be at the Concourse STeakhouse when Fantasmic is scheduled.

Thanks for commenting.

ANyone try any of the 2TS?

I think I remember quite a few great reviews on here of LTT's lunch, so you should have a great meal! :thumbsup2

We'll be there about the same time as you on Deluxe dining too! I have also chosen LTT for lunch, 'Ohana for breakfast and dinner, and Mama Melrose for our short trip. I think you have a great selection.

We love our food at Disney World! We've never had a bad meal anywhere on property as many times as we have been. (Knock on wood!)
Guess I'll make that LTT ressie now!

Hope you all have a Magical vacation!

We are going to many of the same places (hopefully if we get the planned ADRS).. can't wait to read your report--they look great!

have a great trip- jen

I am so easy to please when it comes to food, and I really wanted to like Mama Melrose. We had been doing the FDP with H&V for the past few years, and wanted to try something a bit different. Blech! DD5 loved the minestrone soup, but my spaghetti fra diavalo was not good. The sauce was icky. DH was happy but not overjoyed with his meal. He had the pork. We were there during free dining this year. If you do it, maybe stick with something simple thats hard to mess up.
