We just booked a long weekend stay (12/12-12/15) in a 1br at SSR using our DVC developer points and was pleasantly surprised that I could get all the ADRs that I wanted. Mind you, we didn't try to get Le Cellier but I was really thinking it would be more difficult to get the exact times I wanted.
12/12
Lunch - Crystal Palace
Dinner - Biergarten
12/13
Breakfast - Crystal Palace
Lunch - Prime Time Cafe
Dinner - Captain's Grill
12/14
Breakfast - Tusker House
Lunch - Captain Jack's
Dinner - Liberty Tree Tavern
12/15
Breakfast - Crystal Palace
Now to decide whether to get the DxDDP - it would be $420 and I'm thinking we'll spend more OOP at these meals (for the non buffets -at least one appy per meal and 2 desserts). Any thoughts on that?
edit - I just looked at the menus for the 3 non buffets and got pricing for what we would likely order and came up with a total of $432 pre tax for all our meals. Not a huge savings (probably less than $50 with the tax) but we'll have 12 snacks to play with as well and saving something is better than saving nothing.
Or would I save more by getting DDE (we will be purchasing APs when we arrive)? I don't really know much about DDE since we've never had APs before. Would that be too late to get it anyway. And we pretty much tip 18-20% anyway so having to pay a set tip amount on DDE is no big deal, we'd be doing that anyway.
