the sarcasm hormones myust be truly flowing. saturday they watched some cartoon on televison that was aimed at preschoolers, and they made fun of the whole thing. today they did the same thing with SNOW WHITE!

isn't adolescense fun?

Don't I know it! My DD and her friends rented The Little Mermaid a few weeks ago and HOWLED through the whole thing. (I think secretly they all loved it though). They're all 13 and 14.

Ok i'm 17 and my friends are 17 and 18..seniors in high school...and we LOVE stuff like this.
We're doing The Tempest for our spring play which the Little Mermaid was based on and so in math class my friend and i started singing "Part of Your World" and we knew all the words and the rest of the class taking parts and we had this HUGE discussion about the plot of the Little Mermaid.
It was hysterical but there was no sarcasm...we're sarcastic about other things lol

Yeah it's really weird...There's a Sebastian, an Ariel, a magician, and some more connections that I can't remember but that's what my math teacher said. A lot of disney movies are similiar to Shakespeare in some way..normally with a happier ending however.
Like The Lion King is a lot like Hamlet minus the mass deaths.

If you want another theatrical piece that was culled from "The Tempest", try "Return To The Forbidden Planet". They did it a few years ago here in Tampa, FL and it's a musical with songs from the 50's and 60's and it's set on a space ship!

Pretty far out, but it was WONDERFUL!
