My DD's facebook comments about her care-package

DD has just started college - and we sent her a care package that she received today. Her specific facebook comment was:

you know your parents love you when they send you pancake mix, chocolate chips, and bacon.

While many people have "liked" her comment - only 1 friend responded - and said: The only reason so many people have "liked" this is cuz you mentioned bacon.

To which my DD responded: Obviously

I hope all our care packages will be this big of a hit!

My son would love bacon! He has several shirts and a key chain that say something about bacon! He can't cook in his dorm,but does have a microwave. For the mornings that he doesn't make it to breakfast,(though I'm sure he would eat it anytime) I wonder if microwave bacon would work?

I sent the "pre-cooked" kind of bacon that does not need to be refrigerated until it is open, and heats up in the microwave. There was an awesome sale on it a few weeks ago!

And...truth be told - someone that DD knows brought an electric frying pan to the dorms. Not supposed to have anything with a heating element...but not my problem!

The cafeterias do not open until 11 am on the weekends - so DD will be "hosting" brunch on Saturday for her friends.

Thats typically how I cook my bacon. You get a microwave dish thing, the plastic kind with the ripples, and LOADED with paper towels (to absorb all that grease) and nuke the heck out of them.

Taste pretty yummy, just be warned there is A LOT of grease!! LOL
