My DD8 ask if I would post this request for her. We had a new litter of kittens about 11 weeks ago. As usual she names all kittens born here whether we keep them or not. Well, 'Callie' an 11 wek old calico appears to be dying. She's not walking right and today she stopped eating. My DD8 is very upset. She would adopt and care for every animal in the world if she could. The kitten may be suffering from feline luekemia. The Vet says it's not uncommon in cats but fatal. My DD said her prayers for Callie tonight and asked me to ask for others. Thank you all in advance for listening.:cat: :sad1:

aww, I will pray, maybe its not that

Prayers and pixie dust for Callie.:wizard:

:( I am so sorry to hear that. I hope it is not Feline Leukemia and the kitty turns out to be ok after all. :(

I know how your dd feels. I am the same way!

Here's lots of prayers and pixie dust for little Callie and for your dd, too!

Sure! Prayers and pixie dust for the kitten and your daughter.

If you haven't already you need to get her tested for it. If one has it they all can get it. It is highly contagious. My mom's cat tested positive for it a few years ago and we have had to keep our cats seperated because of it. Also she can't adopt any other cats because it is so contagious. (Actually she is having her restested because she is an indoor cat and had originally tested neg. when they first got her. We are praying that it was a false positive for some reason because it has been 4 years and they usually don't survive that long.)
I pray all is ok with her and the rest of them.

Poor thing. Yes, God still does miracles. Prayer sent.

My best for Callie, Cassidy sounds like such a caring young girl. Nice. Hope Callie improves.

She ate some food this morning and has had some milk. Right now she is sitting enjoying the sunlight. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Cassidy, DD, was thrilled with all the P and PD she read this morning. Thanks again. Here is Callie...

Mom, Callie and Frightful in back.

They are cuties! If you have not seen my thread, I am fostering 5 kittens. They are about 2 1/2 weeks old now.
I would highly rec. getting mom FELV tested if she has not been. There are too many kitties in the world and not enough people to take care of them.

The ones I am fostering came in to our office(I work for a vet) to be euthanized. I brought them home instead.
Two previous kittens were euthanized. (very sick, skinny)

Since Callie is 11 weeks old she is certainly old enough for the blood test. When we do the test in our office it takes 10 min. for the answer.

I am sitting on pins and needles until these kittens are 6 weeks and I can get one tested. Hopefully they will be neg.

Take care and good luck with Callie...lots of P and PD on the way to your kitties!

Lisa
