My DD and family need a little P & PD !!!

My 5 yr old DD was diagnosed 4 years ago with a Liver Disease that affects blood sugars (she gets really low) and the ablility to keep them at a normal and safe level, she was also diagnosed with Acid Reflux which doesn't help her other problem at all. Well, in the last 6 months we have finally gotten those other problems under control, after dealing with a major weight loss and malnutrition. Now we are dealing with a whole new set of issues.

Yesterday she had an appointment to see a new Pediatrician. Her other left in August after only staying a short while, so anyways we are now on our 5th one. He was very good and I was really pleased with him. I went over some concerns about her that I have been having. One is that quite a few times her doctors at Children's Hospital in Phila have mentioned to me that they want to keep an eye on her heart rate because it has been beating too fast at her last few appointments. Well the ped yesterday checked it and it is still pretty high. He ordered some labs to be done and we haven't heard back yet. So I am getting a bit nervous about it all.

Also he scheduled her for a renal ultrasound to check her Kidney's, because she has had a couple Urinary Tract Infections and has been having trouble lately with getting to the bathroom in time. She hasn't had any pain with it like before, but he was still concerned.

So I guess what I'm saying is we sure could use some good thoughts and prayers. I am really worried and it is so hard for me to put her through so much. She has been so brave and takes all this medical stuff so well. She is such a pro and has been poked and prodded so much in her almost 6 years. I really breaks my heart.

Another thing is her 6th Birthday is next Saturday and we have a big party planned, I just wanted to focus on the good stuff for a change and maybe for once not have to worry. But it looks like we are back at it again.

Just say a prayer and send good thought if you could that we get the test back soon and can deal with whatever the results might be.
