My sister, my friend and I all had a good day at MK on Friday. It was hot, but not too bad in the shade or air conditioning. I don't remember it being this hot last May. We got there at 1pm and stayed til close, saw the fireworks.
We did all the rides. The longest line was 1/2 hour for Peter Pan. The Small World ride is much prettier now that it's had the refurb. I didn't realize the POC ride was not running, that was a disappointment. We got to do PhilarMagic 2x, that has got to be my most favorite ride along with The Carousel of Progress(it just needs a little updating now). The Stitch ride is cute, but I don't think my kids would like being in the dark. There was a 50 minute wait for Space Mountain, so we didn't do that one.
It was 102 degrees on Saturday. We did loads of shopping. I spent every dime I took. We found a store called Steve and Barry's, everything in the store is $7.98 and it's great stuff. Check out the website! www.steveandbarry's.com I bought my oldest a down filled coat, as well as many other things for my hubby. It's meant to be a Varsity type store. We all had dinner at the Olive Garden on the Saturday night. There was 6 of us girls that went down for the weekend. We stayed up til the wee hours laughing our heads off at each other
Sunday we did more shopping and sitting by the pool. After dinner, one friend and I did Downtown Disney. We made it to Ghiradelli's just in time to sample
Spent way more money than I should have again. This was a first time trip ever for my friend so she was in her glory. Monday we packed up and headed to the airport. The flight both ways was good, it was delayed going down, and 5 minutes early coming back. The traffic crossing at the Queenston/Lewiston bridge was horrendous. It took 1 1/2 hours to get back. I took the truck lane across the bridge and zoomed by everyone, then got stuck waiting at Customs, as the truck line is much longer
The girl in Duty Free said it's the busiest day of the year for them. I can imagine it is!
I missed my hubby and all my boys, but it was a well needed and deserved rest. I had to catch a nap today, just to recover!
