Holly just learned a valuable new trick...how to take her diaper off. She is driving me NUTS! I have tried onesies and putting pants/shorts on over her diaper, but she just reaches into the leg hole of onesies or down the waist of pants and off that puppy comes! I never dealt with this when Remy was a baby, so I have no clue how to make her stop. It's too hot in our house with the heat on to make her wear zippered pjs all day (she sweats too easy). Any mom's have any advice on this?!

How old is Holly? The usual solution is to put the diaper on backwards but if she is using the waist that might not work.

I assume she's taking off dry ones?

Maybe try pullups at least she couldnt unfasten them and take them off.

Holly is almost 15 months and it's dry diapers (she starts taking them off as soon as I change her). She wears a sz 4 in diapers, do pullups make that size?

Duct tape. Just kidding. Sometimes it helped if I put the onesie on backwards. If that doesn't work - don't worry to much, when my kids did this, it was a phase sortlived. Maybe let her run around in the buff whenever possible - that way maybe she won't be that determined to get it off. I remember those days well! (I miss them too!)

The smallest they come in is 2T Im not sure how that relates to size 4 in Diapers?

With my second, I had to use duct tape, seriously! Then again, my biggest problem was not dry diapers! Could she also be showing early signs of intrest in potty training???

You could try overalls.

try huggies convertables. That go on like a pull up or can be put on like a diaper. This worked well for the 20 months old I babysat. We also sat him on a potty seat and he peed in it. He usually wore overalls and knew how to get them off.

They make Pampers First Steps in 1T-2T not all stores carry them. If you have a Walmart near you they should have them. If not try the Huggies pull ups with the princesses (2T) on them, my DD is in a size 3 diaper and they fit her.
My DD is 19 months and does this once in a while. She has done it with a onesie on with sweat pants over it I went to change her diaper and it was gone. I was sure I put it on her but I couldn't find it. Found it a few hours later in the little garbage can we keep by the computer desk. At least she knew what to do with it when she took it off

I used to work with little munchkins. Try putting the diaper on backwards. Or use tape (we used strong masking tape, but it usually destroys the diaper when you take it off). You can also use diaper pins with the disposable diaper. Just pin through the tapes.

If she starts taking off her sleeper, you can also pin the zipper! Just run the pin through the zipper pull and pin it to the chest of the jammies. Impossible to unzip.

My son loved being naked, so what we did was gave him "naked time" every night. For about an hour between dinner and bath time we let him run around and be "Naked Man" (that is his unclothed alter ego ) I think it made it easier for him to keep his clothes on when he knew that after dinner he could be naked.

LOL I remember dealing with this while babysitting once...I had watched this girl since she was young, and then after a few month break, suddely got a call again. Wasnt expected this! She was new to the potty-training idea....yikes...and would take off the diaper and run around naked, even after I just changed her. Drove me nuts. I let her run around naked for a bit, then put a diaper on her, and some PJs that buttoned (but weren't long) and it helped. At least she was done with "trying to wipe the toliet clean after using" phase the next time I babysat.....

Thanks for all the suggestions! LOL, I even tried putting a backwards onesie with pants earlier today. I was cleaning the kitchen and went into the living room to check for sippy cups and there Holly was running around hugging a diaper. At first I thought she had somehow gotten it off the back of the couch, but nope...she was naked under her clothes! It's a sad day when your child is smarter than you are.

I have to admit this was my trick as a toddler. Really was quite a shock as I would strip in the backyard which was in full view of the main drag on the army base where we lived. Mom was very unperturbed about it. Said that if a General hadn't seen a naked toddler it was about time he did.
My own kids I just let them run around the house naked and put out the potty for them to start using.
My brother also did this and found he had an allergy to the ones we were using so make sure she has no rash that is bugging her.

Uh oh, sounds like my old neighbors' kids...only their 2 oldest would do it (take of their underwear), and they're 6 and 4... I really don't know how they could make it through a day of school without taking their clothes off...Now, I'm not even a parent yet and there's no excuse for a 4 and 6 year old to run around with no clothes on- especially outside!!
