My daughter is sick/New update post 117

[Pea-n-Me]

She has ecoli.

She's been in the hospital all week with symptoms I won't describe here, but pain like you can't imagine.

She is beginning to improve, but ecoli can cause problems to other systems in the body once it starts to improve because the bacteria release toxins as they die off. It sometimes causes kidney failure.

I'm asking those of you who pray, to please pray for her. She is the Pea (Peanut) in my username. She is 11.

I know exactly what you are going through. My now 10 year old got E-Coli which turned into HUS (where the toxins are released and attack the organs) when she was 2 years old and her (only) kidney started to fail. She was in the hospital for 5 days and there was basically nothing they could do but monitor her and her liquid intake and hope for the best. We had everyone praying for her and I firmly believe that is why she's still with us today.

She is now a happy, healthy 10 year old who must go to Children's Hospital once a year to check her urine, blood pressure, and the growth of her kidney. All is good so so far.
