support group said....if you get in a rut and no weight loss for a few weeks......up your points for one day and then go back to regular points the next day....it makes your system say....oh wow....I am doing less and will lose.....it works on some other types of diets too
 
When I was going to the actual meetings, I remember our leader saying the same thing. I had forgotten about that, thanks for the reminder. Have a great day!
 
I have heard that it works on Atkins sometimes too. If you eat more carbs for a day or two and then jump back to induction...it sometimes kick starts your weight loss again. Thanks for the heads up.

I have heard this works on most diets. Our bodies kind of get used to things and need a little jumpstart at times :)
 
I have heard this referred to as the "Wendie" system. I don't think it's an official WW plan but a lot of WWers use it...kind of like interval training on the treadmill. I think it shakes things up a bit and gets you out of a metabolic rut/plateau.
