What a day!

SHe was rollerblading and fell. She has a greenstick fracture.

First go to the pediatrician, then to the radiologists, then to the orthopedic doctor, then to another orthopedists.

And we leave for Orlando in 22 days!

the cast willl be on when we go, so now I have to switch things around.

Oh, and I found out I need a new roof, and my dog has an ear infection today... Can I wake up tomorrow?

Ohh.........the poor thing! I don't know what a greenstick fracture means, but a break is a break and I know the little darlin is in pain. Hope she feels better soon!

:( That poor kid. Hopefully things will get better for you soon.

You have so much on your hands now. Hope your daughter doesn't feel much pain and that things work out for you.

:(

Sorry to hear that. Hope she feels better soon. Look on the bright side... you're going to Orlando soon!

Cindy, my daughter broke her arm 6 weeks ago, we just got the cast off yesterday, and now her arm is in a removable splint. She did great with the cast went swimming, we had to cover it, so the inside would not get wet, the hardest part was that her arm had to be reset and that was done under general anesthesia. Good luck to your daughter.

Hope she isn't in too much pain, but I bet your trip to WDW will cheer her right up. :D

So sorry your day went so bad. I hope DD's okay for your trip. Think happy thoughts!

So sorry to hear about your DD. Hope everything goes well with her. I think the trip to WDW will cheer her up.

Sorry to hear about the arm our 3 year old just got her cast off her leg she broke it right across the growth plate just below the knee. She had a bright pink fiberglass cast that went from her toes to the top of her thigh.

Boy do I relate!!!

DD #3 just had her cast removed today and we leave for WDW tomorrow. DD#2 has her cast removed yesterday and has a splint!! Both broke their left wrists............2 weeks apart!!! #3 had the cast for 4 weeks and #2 only 2 weeks but her's was a hairline fracture and the dr. felt safe to just splint her so we could enjoy WDW!!

My dog just finished her ear med!!!!!

It will all be over with soon.....................good luck!! Hopefully your DD will be a fast healer and just have a splint/air cast when you go to WDW.................

Wow, are any locusts in your area?? I'd say "what a bummer!" would describe your day too! Hope tomorrow is better.

Ouch, Cindy!!! What a bummer for her, plus all that other stuff. But get ready for WDW.

My DD had a greenstick fracture of her collarbone when she was 2. It means it didnt break all the way through. If you equate it to a tree the older limbs will snap in half but the new trees bend and twist. Kids bones are still at the bendable stage. DD didnt take but a couple of weeks to heal. Hope this is the case for your DD.

:grouphug: well they say bad things come in 3's so lets hope you've had your 3 and better luck is on the way!!

Sorry to hear about your day but just think, when you wake up tomorrow you're one day closer to WDW. WDW is the best medicine.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. Last fall DS fractured his wrist playing soccer. His pediatric orthopedist recommended getting a xerosox. It is a waterproof cast protector that you can take showers with and go swimming with it and NO water gets in. He also had me dump 1 oz. of baby oil down his cast once a week, it cut down on the itching. His skin was in good shape when the cast came off, and it helped with the smell too!
