my dad's surgery is today...UPDATE PG 2

thank you everyone...all of the prayer and thoughts are working! they did his surgery first thing this morning. they went in and put 2 stints into his heart. there were a few places that were so blocked that they couldn't possibly get through, but the veins have already created their own "route". today's surgery was a success, but he'll be going back in for a stress test in about a month.

he's doing much better now. the color has returned to his face but he still has moments of confusion when he wakes up. they've pumped him full of more and more drugs today and those are making him loopy. he kept looking for a fudgesicle that he had put just above his pillow this morning...there was no fudgesicle!! lol...and then he kept pointing out the court room and telling us that he was in there this morning. when we left this afternoon, he tried to get up and come with us...poor guy...he wants to come home!

assuming he continues to improve and he no longer has bouts of confusion, he may be going home as soon as tomorrow...i think that's questionable though. the confusion issues need to be addressed before they send him home...

thank you again for the well-wishes...it helped me to get through this weekend knowing that i had a few thousand friends praying for us...you guys are the best!

i'll keep you posted if anything changes...
