I'm so sorry. Prayers from central Pennsylvania are being sent.
As others, my died from colon cancer that spread to his bones. It's tough to loose a parent but knowing your dad will be out of pain should help make you feel better. Something that helped me- I erased from my memory what my dad looked like at the end. I only remember his healthy days. My dad went from a 200 lb man to an 80 lb skeleton.

I lost my dad to lung cancer when I was 16 (10 yrs ago) and my sisters were 14 and 11. Please Please Please feel free to PM me if you need to 'talk' about what you are going through. I know it really helps to be able to talk to someone who has been through it. My prayers are with you and your family.

Aurora, I'm so very sorry to hear this...my FIL was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a couple of weeks ago, and after meeting with his docs earlier this week, we have a little more hope for a bit more time with him, but not much. We are looking at probably Thanksgiving/Christmas timeframe, perhaps a little bit more.

This disease really is such a beast, with such a high mortality rate. Prayers to you and your family.
