My mom called me at work today. She was so excited. She said my dad won the lottery. I asked her how much he won. She said he didn't win any money, his name got drawn for the flu shot lottery. He gets to have a shot.:teeth: So, of course, I had to tell my kids their grandpa won the lottery today. They wanted to know if he won a million dollars (my dd assumed it was only $2 because she knows I'm ecstatic if I win a dollar or more in the lottery:p ). They were disappointed when they found it it was a shot. My ds said he thinks my dad lost the lottery instead of winning the lottery.:p

Thanks. Now I have that song playing through my head.:p I need to see if there are any side affects to this shot my dad may not know about. I'm surprised my mom didn't call me to look that up for her today.;)

Isn't the next line, "Some guys have all the pain"?
Works in this case:tongue:

Darn, was hoping he was treating you and 60,000 of your closest DIS friends to a trip.....

I think your SON is right ;) :teeth:

Too funny!

Congrats to your dad! I already had the flu this year so I passed on getting one at work.

Glad he got his! :D

Shannon I had to laugh. When we bought lottery tickets while passing through Louisiana last month I won $20 on a scratch off. You would have thought I had hit BIG TIME I was so excited. I was screaming, LOOK, LOOK I WON $20 DOLLARS!!!!!

It was really funny but quite embarassing too :teeth:

Congratulations to your dad though. For older people its important to have that shot.

Beth, if I won $20 on the lottery, my dd would have to call someone to help prise me off the ceiling, I'd be so happy.:teeth: My dad is disabled, and has a tendency to get pneumonia real easy. So, in his case, he's luckier to get the flu shot than winning a money lottery. I'd much rather win a money lottery.:p

Twinnie, you liked that pic I emailed you a bit too much, didn't you?:p

Heidi, it doesn't take much to amuse me or my mom sometimes.:teeth:

Ann, please don't tell my son he was right about something. He'll drive me insane.;) He says he doesn't want to win any lotteries.:p

LOL, Damo. Great comeback.:teeth: I just wish I could get that Rod Stewart song out of my head before I go to sleep tonight.:p

Tell your Dad I said, 'conCATulations'. Simba thinks he lost the lottery also.:teeth:

My ds said he thinks my dad lost the lottery instead of winning the lottery.

Your son must be my "kindred spirit" and have a fear of needles....;)

MJ - are you home from the World??:Pinkbounc

I'll tell him, MJ. I'm beginning to think Simba and my son might be the same person/cat.:p

Freyja, he's supposed to "cash" in his winnings this morning.:teeth:

Pam, my son is your kindred spirit then.:p
