We are visiting the All Star Movies. This is where we went the last time and loved it. Let's see if we like it with more people. lol
I didn't think that I would be planning another trip. When my now 9 y/o went in July/August 2006, I said we would not go for at least another 7 years. So we made it BIG! We went for 11 days and didn't leave the Disney campus for anything. I saved for an entire year and every penny from my part time job went to the trip. I saved so much money that we didn't spend it all. And let me tell, you, I came back with 2 huge suitcases of souvineers. lol They went down their empty. hehe That was the best time of our lives! So magical!!
Just 2 pictures of the 1100 plus I took in 2006. lol
This is one of my favorites! We got this when we were heading to our Royal table breakfast before the park opened.
So FF to March 2008. After having a baby, who just turned 1 in August, crazy me, I decided to plan a trip to Disney during Christmas week, I made the reservations, and started saving. It was a surprise for Elaina. In April, all of us from church were eating at the food court at the mall and I found out that they decided to go to Disney also! My church family and some of them are God parents to my 2 children. But they were going in October.
hmmmm That would be so cool if we could all go together. All 15 of them plus my 3.
Yep you guessed it! I changed my reservations for October!! Found airfare for $200 round trip each ticket from IN to FL. WOW! Elaina still did not know. It was very hard to keep this secret. Well for her b-day in May, I told her via a scavenger hunt that we were going. I video taped it and didn't get any still pictures. But at each clue she found a letter to spell out "Disney in Oct." She is such a silly girl that she left out some of the letters and spelled Desitin and got so excited!! I have NO idea why she was excited to get Desitin. lol I looked at her and said "Really?". lol I had to help her spell the phrase and if you heard screaming across the country around April 28, then that was her! Then her words. "Do we have to take Sophia?" Again I said, "Really, Elaina?" lol
So we started making plans, reservations and countdown calendars.
Then she had her b-day party. She got a card from my sister letting her know that Ridona was coming also! Ridona got her a box of Desitin for 1 of her presents.
Then I told her that Grandpa was coming also!
Day 1--arrive and possibly go to DTD.
Day 2--Epcot. Have Breakfast at Akershus (Dad arriving at night)
Day 3--Bibbity bobbity boutique at 9am, Cinderella Royal table at 10 and Crystal Palace at 2. Sophia LOVES Winnie the Pooh.
Day 4--HS and Fantasmic with Hollywood and Vine Restaurant
Day 5--Any park, but going to MNSSHP. We are dressing up as Mouskateers!
(Dad and Sister leaving in the morning)
Day 6--Free but going to Chef Mickey's with Elaina and Sophia's God Father and Sophia's God Mother. (Just me and my girls)
Day 7--Free (just me and my girls)
Day 8--Free but going to Hoop Dee doo Revue with the entire clan! (Sister and BIL returning in the afternoon)
We have days to meet up with everyone else, but we are not spending every minute together. As much as we love each other, we all want to do different things.
Each family arrives on different days but all of us will be there at the same time for 3 days. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Now I am getting my designs for my t-shirts, tip envelopes and the tote back for trick or treating! I am ready to get candy!
Thanks for reading my pre-trip report. I hope you enjoyed it! Now I hope I create a fantastic Actual trip report like all the others I read.
