Thank you everyone for all the kind replies and prayers being sent to my dad. I am at my mom & dad's house right now. I was able to get a prescription for anxiety for my mother who has been screaming, crying and talking complete nonsense all day. The kids started crying when I told them, and then they fell asleep for a while. My in-laws are in town now to help us out. My wonderful hubby is making funeral arrangements at the place right now. I feel like there is so much that needs to get done, and I am scared for what lies ahead. There was some major financial problems, and I don't know how to begin sorting that out.

I am so sorry for you loss. My daddy passed away a little over a year ago. Just take your time, put one foot in front of the other, and slowly you will find your way.

I am so sorry for your loss I lost my dad Nov 8 and it has been very hard.
The hardest part was telling my kids he was ds,s(8) best friend, my daughter turned 4 a week after he passed and she doesn't quite undertand yet she still asks to see papa with the happy shiny face.
I know things will get easier I just wish I knew when.
I hope soon we will just be able to look back and smile about all the memories we have of our fathers

My most sincere condolences to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. We lost my mother in September of '08 and it was a shocking and devastating loss for the entire family as it was very unexpected for us. I can truly relate as to what you are going through at this very difficult time.

to you and your kids. My dad died a year and 1/2 ago, and he was the best dad too. My kids still talk about him, and I tell them stories about when he was younger (and healthier). My dd4 swears that when she is outside swinging on her swingset that her papa winks at her from the sky. Prayers to you during this difficult time.
