Hi - I'm looking on my reservations on DisneyCruise.com. What activities should or do I sign up through this? Are these activities I pay for? I'm not able to sign up for anything yet, but when they open it to me, I would like to know before hand.

Thank you.

Once your booking window opens, which is 75 days prior to sail for first time cruisers, you can book port excursions, adult dining (Palo and Remy), Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique/Pirates League appointments, and spa services through that link. There are also a couple character meet and greets available to book online through that link. The Princess Gathering and the Frozen Meet and Greet, plus a character breakfast if one is being offered on your cruise. Not all cruises have character breakfasts.

Anything that you pay for is not billed until you're on board unlike most other cruise lines where you pay up front (which i actually like better because my vacation is paid for in advance without me having to deal with purchasing OBC or put the total on a Disney Gift Card so that it's essentially already paid for. (My guess is if they DID require payment up front the cabanas *might* not go as quickly, though I fully admit I could be wrong since they seem to go to Concierge people anyway...)

Maggie's Mom is 100% correct. I'll just add that there are many other things that you only sign up for on board the ship, or don't need to sign up for at all. THis confused me on my first trip, as I tried to figure out how to sign up for them ahead of time.

So for instance, alcohol tastings and mixology, only get signed up on the ship. Most of the entertainment on the ship (towel folding, ship tours, etc.) don't need to be signed up for at all. The same with most of the character meets, except for the three that Maggie's Mom mentioned.

Some of the activities are free such as character breakfasts and the princess gathering. Others have a fee like Bibbidy Boppidi Boutique, the Royal Tea, and dining at the adult Palo and Remy restaurants. Also even though you did not mention port excursions, these also have a charge. As other posters have stated, you will not be charged for the activities that have a fee until you are on the ship. They are usually billed to your onboard account the day of the activity. This can help you to budget for these expenses since you will see how much these items are when you book them.
