My son who is 2, and will still be 2 when we go to WDW, is in a group with 3 year olds during the day since they all say they are 3 so does he. :lmao: My concern is I have read some people say cast members ask their children how old they are, has any one ever seen them make someone buy a ticket? He has a great vocabulary for 2 so I could see them thinking he really is 3 and try as I might he will not say he is 2 and he won't be 3 until November. :sad2: What would you do?

I have never personally seen a CM make someonw buy a ticket for their child..but thats not to say they dont. Im sure they have to do it all the time.
If i were you i would just bring proof of age, so you won't have any problems...

Bring a copy of his Birth Cert. and be ready to show it if they ask.

When I took DD to DL when she was 2 the CM's never even talked to her about her age, they just took my word for it and let her through. However if you get a grumpy CM or one who is a stickler for the rules it would be best to have the BC ready than have to pay for a ticket at gate prices.

We were there June 10-23. My youngest will be 3 in August. I had "birth certificate" on my packing list and still forgot it. No one ever questioned us or even looked twice at her, even though she is TALL for her age and a non-stop talker. Honestly, I think you'll be fine, but if you have any doubt you may as well bring the b.c. for "mental insurance."

When my dd was near the 3 yr old mark, I made my mother take her away from the ticket booth, when I was buying the tickets. I didn't have any trouble at the turnstile, and she is very tall, and looks older than she is. I would bring a copy of the birth certificate as well.

This is my 600th post!!

Well, if they ask my 2 year old how old she is, she may very well say 6 LOL That is the age of her big sister and she often gives that as a reply. We travel in September and dd will be 3 in December, but I do not think it will be an issue. I will have her bc since we will cruise after WDW, but I am not expecting an issue and I won't be carrying the bc or a copy into the parks.

I personally brought DS's birth certificate in a ziplock bag (waterproofing). I hate getting into trouble, and to not have that IF questioned would have felt VERY bad to me.

Just made me happy to have it.

DS is now saying he's 5, and he's only newly 3...I think it's pretty normal and I'm sure they are aware of it, but still, I liked having his b.c. with us. :)

We also took our DS when he was 2 and did not have any CM's ask him about his age. He would have said "I'm 5", just like his big sister. I think it is very common :) We were even there for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party and when he put his hand out for a bracelet, the CM said "ohhh, you don't need one you are just a little guy." Of course he is so small he looked 2 when he was almost 5. He just hit 40 lbs at almost 7:confused3 I feed him I promise.

don't worry about it i had my little one tell a CM they were 4 when they was only 2 1/2 .. I just laugh at it and said ok alexis your 4 today huh .. and the CM just laugh at it also .. Don't worry .. if he tell the CM He's older just say He's not .. They don't care and will not ask you to buy a ticket because your child thinks or wishes they were older ...LOL :thumbsup2

My dd's birth certificate is in Chinese so they wouldn't know what it said anyway! :lmao:

My DD will be 2 when we go next year - she's tall for her age now (about 31" - I think in the 90th percentile), so I'm expecting her to be taller than an average 2-year-old next year. When I ordered her birth certificate, I also bought a little certified copy - it's in a small plastic sleeve, and I'm planning on taking it just in case.
