My comparison on 4/3 vs AP early June

I have the 4/3 currently booked for the Polynesian 6/4-6/11.
I checked the AP site and called for 6/4-6/6 (all that is out now) at the Polynesian too- same room category.
The 4/3 comes out to $311.26 per night w/ tax and the AP rate of $289 comes out to $325.13 with tax. Add in the one day MYW ticket that I can apply to next years AP and the 4/3 is a much better deal.

what are the details on AP users and buying 1 day tickets?
I have a 4/3 for august (5-12....celebrating my bd, too) and I have a 1 day ticket, becuase I have AP ticket. How does that 1 day ticket work in my favor when I go to renew my AP?

You get some credit towards the AP. Now how much is a big fat mystery to me. I tried several ways to get the CM to tell me how much credit I would get toward my next AP and he kept saying "We don't know". I said someone would have to know but he said, it would have to be up to Guest Services to tell me.

The credit is equal to the cost of that one day ticket.

You might want to check **************** for specials at the Poly too. I was quoted $671.74 for 3 nights in July (Poly Garden View).

shopn24seven....I keep reading that if you are going to apply your 1 day park pass to an AP use it first then go to Guest Service (or whoever upgrades), then upgrade to AP as you will get the full gate value for the ticket. So I think it is like $75. so you would get $75. deducted from your AP. That is my understanding anyway!

I am staying at POFQ May 9th-16th. I too got the buy 4, get 3 nights deal. Even with having to buy the one day ticket, it came out a little cheaper than the AP offer, plus I'll have the one day ticket to use later to apply toward another AP.
