I got a sample in the catalog and it smells good.

I thought it smelled really good as well. I am in the market for a bigger bag - so I think I will be heading to the store this weekend. I want to smell the perfume in person too. I didn't think it was a bad price at all!

I've been hinting to DH for a Coach since before Christmas. I thought I wanted a particular one and went to the store and didn't like the funky zipper across the opening of the bag.

I got an e-mail about the patchwork ones a few weeks ago and I'm going to get this one. http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=9226&category_id=256

It will be perfect for summer. I like the bigger patchwork ones but it looks like they snap on the sides and I have a couple of purses with snaps like that and the snaps always stop working after a short time.

My husband came home with this bag last week! I was so surprised, he rarely does stuff like this! I just love it!

There was a sample of the new perfume in the box as well...it does smell pretty good. Not sure if I want to switch from my Burberry Brit, though!

I have this one in black - I love it! I have the matching wristlet too.

I just got a new purse from the Outlet this weekend and I can't find a picture of it! It kind of looks like this: http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=9073&category_id=68

But it is Black on black Signature C with leather braids on the sides with silver buckles. And it did not cost 600 dollars. I think it was 358 and I got it for 260? I need to look at the price tag to see the title. Does anyone have any idea? lol

As you can see the date that I registered, and the very low number of posts, that I am quite the lurker. I actually just wandered over to the CB a couple months ago. Anyway, this thread caught my eye and I'd like to ask some questions of the Coach experts.

Last week, my wonderful MIL said that she'd like to buy me a nice handbag. I've never had a purse that cost more than anything I could get at Target before, not counting the Liz Claiborne purses that were all the rage back when I was in Junior High in the 80's. Man, those were ugly!

Anway, I found a Coach bag that I really liked. Here's the link to the picture:

I love the size of this, the color, the handle, how it looks on my shoulder, but I'm concerned about the snap. It's one of those magnetic ones. Granted it's well-sewn in and Coach, but I'm concerned that it might not be a good purchase, based on past experience with snaps like this. Granted, they were all on cheap bags, but it still makes me nervous. Has anyone had any bad luck with a Coach bag with this kind of snap?

Also, I'm about an hour from an outlet (Santa Fe). Is it worth heading up there to check out the deals? Anyone ever been to that outlet before?

I also like the holiday patchwork gallery tote. It is gorgeous, but with kiddos, I like the idea of a purse that I can sling over my shoulder. One less thing to carry. However, maybe I'll have to save my own money for this one. I can tell this might very turn into an addiction!

I haven't had a problem with their snaps and I had a purse similar to the one you like - I loved it BTW.

As for the outlet - I live near an outlet in Orlando and I always have a good trip when I go. For example right now in the Outlet here they have some of the purses that are currently in the Coach stores for 20% off as well as some older styles. So, it might be worth a shot, if you don't mind the drive. I can normally get a purse and a wallet for the regular price of the purse. At times I can get something deeply discounted for a great price.

I have a Coach bag that is 15 years old with one of those magnetic snaps, and it is going strong. It's my "go-to" bag and has weathered being smooshed under a plane seat, stuffed to the gills, and more. Never one problem with the snap.

Plus, Coach does repairs, so even if something does happen to it through normal wear and tear, they will repair it, and I believe that service is still free of charge.

If the snap can last 15 years as a "go-to" bag without any problems, then I don't think I need to worry. Good to know about the repair option as well. I knew I could count on you guys!

I've been searching all over ebay to see if there are any other styles that Dillards didn't have (our Macy's doesn't sell Coach...how lame!), but this style just keeps jumping out at me, so it must be the one.

Now, don't you think I have the best mother-in-law ever to do this for me? Although, I'm not sure what she has created. I never gave a second thought to purses, but after trying this one on in the store, nothing else feels the same. The detailed stitching, the quality leather, how it just tucks just so under my arm. Oh dear. I think one is not going to be enough!
