My cat just passed away

I just mentioned the other day that my 17 yo sweetie was slowing down. She had some tumors and we knew it was a matter of time. She played with me this morning and had dinner with the other cats this afternoon. She jumped up on the sofa and fell asleep and my DH noticed she wasn't breathing. That was it. Such a peaceful ending but I am so sad and bawling my eyes out. This is our third one since March. It just hurts so much. I am very thankful that she did not suffer and we did not have to decide when to take her to the vet. This is the hardest part of pet ownership. I have another 17 yo and her 16 yo daughter. The others are 13,13, and 10.

I lost my cat after 17 1/2 years. She was my baby. We literally grew up together because I adopted her I was 15 years old.
She suffered so much during her final weeks while we tried everything we could to save her. I know how painful this is for you, but her passing sounds so peaceful. Please try to draw a little bit of strength from that. My thoughts will be with you tonight.
