My CAT is getting spam!

We all can relate to the ridiculous spam encouraging us to enlarge our various body parts, but when I open the e-mail and find one encouraging Chester, MY CAT, to refinance his mortgage - I think we've hit a new low.

Yes, the e-mail started off - "Chester, isn't it time you reevaluated your finances?"

Well, for years I had my phone number listed in my dog's names. Sadie got lots of 2nd mortgage offers in the US mail, and anytime the phone rang and the caller asked for Sadie, I just told them, sorry she is unable to speak on the telphone. Ususally I got dead silence after that. But the email thing had made me think, there are various pet sites (Petmeds, Petco, etc) that I am registered at, but so far I haven't gotten any spam for Max or Sadie. You have to wonder who sold your pet's name to the sender. Not that you will ever be able to find out.

LOL! Incidentally, I LOVE the new Spam commercials with the guy who claps and yells "More Spam!" and the Spam van drops out of the sky or crashes through the wall.

My 6 year old daughter got mail the other day from Dish Network trying to tell her to switch over. She wasn't impressed with the offer.

My cat, Rio, got her own American Express card a few years back when they would actually mail the card to you even if you had not asked for one. Luckily, I intercepted it before she took off & bought catnip and fish on it. When I called AMEX, they would not believe that they had sent a card to a cat & kept insisting on talking to Rio before they would cancel the card! I held her up to the phone until she meowed. THEN the operator said,"Oh, I guess she IS a cat!"
