See that grey and black fur on his legs? He keeps trying to lick it off. The rest of his leg is bright white and he keeps going after the dark fur. He has been checked out and is fine, there is nothing wrong with him he just doesnt seem to like that spot on his legs.

Maybe he is trying to tell you he needs to gets his highlights done.;)

If a cat isn't acting nutz then ya know it's sick!

Every time I vaccum I try to catch kitty and place her in a safe room away from that nasty old loud machine. And EVERYTIME I have to chase the little puke-factory through the entire house to put her where she won't be bothered. Going on 12 years now ya think she'd learn!!!!

Our vet has put Jack Daniels (my cat) on a cat nerve pill. Right after he got neutered he began licking all of his hair off. Now 19 months later he has no hair from his back legs, down half of his tail and part way up his back. The vet has checked him over several times and said he is fine physically. Mentally, no. He has anxiety/nerve issues.:rotfl2: I thought I was going to die laughing when he put my cat on "kitty nerve pills". Guess he is just as crazy as the rest of us this house.:lmao:

No ...mine is nuts!

My cat used to do that!! In fact, the only reason she quit is b/c she's too fat to get up on the counter (and I put stuff along the edges in case she feels adventurous!) We just got her shaved b/c she had horrible mats along her back....her new nickname is "Nakey Kitty" :lmao:

OMG, the first time i read that, I read "My vet put my cat on Jack Daniels." Don't ask me why...but it made me LOL...

OMG :rotfl: That is too funny!

Our cat used to spend a lot of time in the sink as well. We finally got her a fountain so she had water to play with otherwise.

Ain't that the truth!

I guess you could be happy that your cat actually cleans itself. My one cat lays under cars, gets full of grease and dirt, and takes over a week to clean himself. I usually get annoyed and try wiping him down with one of those moist facial cleansing wipes.

And I thought it said, 'the vet put Jack Daniels on my cat." My first thought was...............well, THAT's definitely not going to stop him from licking his fur! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Growing up, we had a tiger striped cat with a white tip on his tail. He would pull out the white fur, growl at the spot and generally chase that white fur till it was gone.

My girl Moozer started licking her belly bald when I was planning our wedding. I was super stressed and i think she could sense it. I tried to de-stress but I was planning a wedding 2 provinces away (think States) and it was 1200 invitations and I was doing it all by myself...

She still does it now and then and then lets it grow back...DH says she needs "Kitty Prozac":cool1:

We had a cat once that could not handle change. If her food bowl was moved a foot she would rather sit by the old spot and cry then go eat the food at the slightly different location. Sometimes she would get so stressed out that she would start losing hair on her back between her rear hips. We thought maybe she had fleas or something, but the vet said she was fine.

I'm surpised he didin't tell not to be mixing Jack Daniels and pills! Oh my!:rotfl2:
kitty nerve pills, snicker.

I need to get some of those kitty nerve pills! :rotfl2:

I left a half eaten bowl of Spaghettios on the kitchen counter the other day & the cat licked those suckers bone dry. Now she stands in the kitchen all day and meeeooooows. She wants her some Spaghettios. :goodvibes It's driving me crazy.

One of our cats, Rosalind, MUST be snuggled when she wants her snuggles. If she is NOT snuggled when she wants, she goes on a rampage through the house finding plastic, tape, string, rubber bands, etc. to chew on, swallow, and barf back up. She has knocked over garbage cans and recycling bins on her quest for "things that are not food" to satisfy her perverse need. We have child safety locks on cabinets and closet doors to keep her from getting at stuff, but she's been known to break the safety locks! And every night at bedtime she runs to the bed to get brushed, and then leaves the room when we turn off the lights. About 10 minutes after this, she suddenly begins crying with her "I'm all alone and I need to be snuggled" cry. We call out to her, and she runs to the bedroom and turns into a purr-baby snuggled between us. If we don't call out to her, she begins knocking stuff over to get to her plastic, etc.... Her sister isn't nearly as neurotic!!

I am glad to know I am not the only one who thought giving a cat nerve pills was crazy.:lmao: All of my friends and family have laughed about this one for months.

I should add that I quit giving Jack Daniels:cat: the nerve pills after a couple of weeks. They just made him sleep way too much, even for a cat. I would rather have him licking off all of his hair and bald than doing nothing but sleep. They really did alter his mood and personality.

More kitty pics, please!! Here's are mine:

Spotty is the crazy looking one in the front. He watches the water in the toilet when we flush. He plays fetch. He drinks running water from the tap. He also runs around like crazy, yowling at nothing. Plus he wakes me up at 4:30 on the nose every morning.

Honey, the one who looks rather lazy, is. She sleeps and eats, and grooms herself. Here's another shot of her...we call this her PlayCat pose:

My cat does this too...they told me that if she had even one flea on her it may cause it. I find that if I keep flea medicine on her every month she is not as bad. I tried the pheremone diffuser to settle my furbrats down. Expensive and did nothing. I have just come to conculsion she will have a semi naked butt. They told me to wait on the "kitty drugs", lol.
