WARNING: this is important to me, but I thought I'd warn you that while there's nothing really graphic in the article, it is very, very sad.

I'm posting because this really struck me, as I went to high school with both of the people in the wreck.
Here's my PSA:
Please don't drive drunk/buzzed, or ride with a drunk/buzzed driver. Please, please, please, wear your seatbelts. Make everyone you can wear seatbelts. Always. Please.
My heart is aching for two children who lost a wonderful mother. This will affect them forever. It will affect her husband forever.
So, my fellow DISers, I beg you: wear seatbelts. For your sake, for the sake of those who love you ... because you aren't in control of anyone else o the road, you must do whatever you can to protect yourself. A one-second action could have saved Kandys's life.
I know I sound preachy, but I know so many people who won't buckle up for a little trip to the store, or it just slips their mind. I just thought I'd give a friendly reminder.
Thanks for your time. Have a wonderful, safe Holiday season.
