"coach" his little book club team thing. In our school district, there is a competition for the 5th graders. Its totally voluntary (not required). Kids that want to do it get a team of 5 or 6 kids and the read a few books. They then go to a competition and compete against other teams from all the elementary schools in the district. (Keep in mind I am a junior in high school). So my little brother came home today and asked me to coach his team. I asked him if I was old enough (I thought you had to be 18), but according to him, his school librarian (was also the librarian when I went there) said she would trust me to do it. (I think if I decide to do it, I'll have to contact her to make sure its true) But anyways, I told him that I would have to think about it as I have a lot going on with school right now and then DECA state conference (I'll be away for 3 days) is in March. He said "well, I need to tell my friends if you'll do it" So I told him that I had to think about it and talk to my parents and I would tell him. He told me that he was supposed to tell his friends if I would as soon as he got home. Way to give me some notice and time to think about it. But anyways, I did this when I was in 5th grade and I had a ton of fun. I just don't know if I have the time to coach a team. I would love to, but at the same time, I think they could find someone better to coach them. What would you do? Oh boy is all I have to say.
