My mom called me last night.. seems my brother has a meeting with a Marine recruiter tomorrow. I have no idea where this came from. He has never really said anything about this to us.

I'm rather shocked (not in a bad way)... this is unlike him. I'll know more tomorrow, after the meeting.. and after I talk to him... I haven't done that yet.

His longtime girlfriend is our nanny... it will be interesting to get her take on this today when I get home.

I'm so confused on what to think right now. I'm proud of him though, I'll tell you that.

This could be the first time that our personal life will really be touched by someone in the military. We really have not had that in our family. (Which is why I want to/did sign up to support someone with Operation Military Pride.)

You should be proud of your brother...whether he decides to enlist or not. That he is thinking about his country and his role in serving his country is admirable. It is also a worry for you. Whatever decision he makes, I know you will support him.

Please update us. I know your are proud of him.
