from reading al the different sites and searching out prices and reviews and trying to decide where to stay :lol So i'll ask you nice people, because you were all so helpful last year when I was looking for advice on taking 16 month old twins for their first visit to Disneyland :)

We are looking for a place to stay that
- is in walking distance, my twins are now 2 and will be in a stroller, i don't really want to deal with a shuttle
- has suites available with actual separate rooms, we want to be able to put the boys to bed at night but not have to go to bed ourselves and not wake them up with the tv
- we are looking at May 1-4 but could also go a week earlier (Apr 24-27) or a week later (May 8-11)

I emailed the Park Vue inn and was all excited about staying there, right across the street, but they don't have suites available for all 3 nights ANY of those dates, so that's out *sigh*

So any suggestions? :)

thanks in advance! I'm getting so excited! I know they are just going to love it even more this year!!

Desert inn and suites is a place I would suggest. Its close to the park like a minute walk to the cross walk that takes you into Disneyland.

That's one of the ones we are looking at. If we go either the week earlier or week later, they have the parlor suite a available for $139/night. Is that a good deal?

Carousel maybe? We stayed there, not in a suite though but I think they have them. I think it might be hard to book at this late date. We always have serious trouble unless we book MONTHS in advance. Good luck and let us know what you find.

I would recommend checking out priceline, there are a lot of new hotels in the area that they have.

I thought I was booking months in advance. Is this considered a late date already??

If you go into the park on April 24th you can get the 5 days for the price of 3. If you go in any later the deal will have expired

we just booked carousel and I'm pretty sure they have suites, they say it is a 5 minute walk and they have fridge and micro in every room and cont. breakfast, so with all that and for the price we thought it would be great. we are taking our twins, age 6, for the first time in may. we didn't book a suite as I thought after long days walking through the parks they will certainly zonk out at night and nothing will wake them!! have fun

The Anabella has tons of different room types available (39, I think...but only a few are shown on their website.) You could call them and ask. I'm pretty sure my sister and her family had a suite with a seperate room for my niece (15 months old at the time.) It's not the shortest walk to the park but it's not terrible either. However, you would probably want to hop on the lion king tram for the last bit of the walk.

It is really about 5 minutes or less. The cross walk is just steps away. BUT don't count on the breakfast actually being any good. The rooms are VERY SMALL and the breakfast wasnt good... but it is right across the street. We could see the fireworks and everything! McDonalds is cheap and right next door, as is Subway (or some sandwich place).
