my brace is making me rash

im getting like a red scaly, dry patchy rash in my lower knee where im wearing my brace. What can I do to prevent this? Im down to wearing a patella strap now so its a lot cooler than my old one.

When DD wore a neoprene knee brace her orthoped gave her a white cotton "sleeve" like thing to wear under it. It looked like a tube sock but was thin like t shirt material. It has to be tight fitting so it doesn't cause other problems. If you are seeing a doctor, perhaps they have something like this they can get for you.

Try rubbing some Body Glide on the area. It might help. I would also use something like Aquaphor or Desitin to clear up the rash if it is from chaffing.
