I've written two children's books and have written about half of a young adult novel. Tomorrow night, I am meeting with a group of writers who will critique my work. Several of the writers in the group have been published. I am nervous, but looking forward to hearing what they think of my work.

If things go well, I will start sending query letters to agents on the children's book. I think getting published going to turn out to be more difficult than it was to write the stories. I would rather not self-publish if I can help it.

Our oldest daughter's quite the writer and artist. She has written two children's books she's sitting on. I hope and pray someday she feels comfortable moving forward!

Thanks for all the positive vibes, everyone! It went pretty well. The good news is that they really liked the story-lines and the stories in general. They made some really good suggestions. So, I need to think about all the information I received and see what I can do to make things the best they can be!
