Ok, I know I said I'd be back tomorrow but please understand with 3 kids and other stuff ie.life, I'm just plain exhausted most of the time. Anyway, I have some spare time so lets get on with it.
The alarm went off as planned and I pulled myself out of bed. With no kids to attend to, I had time to have a shower, do makeup and blowdry my hair into an actual style. I know this won't seem important to the guys out there, but this may be the first time in years I have set foot on a plane looking like a jetsetter! Luton airport was reached in about 20 minutes. However the car-park was a slightly different story. We thought it best to use the long-term but when we got to it (the furthest point in the airport you understand) it was only open to pre-bookings. Back through the road system where we stumbled across MEDIUM TERM. I have never seen this before. For a few hours my DH felt superior. Don't worry Miss Organiser, we're gonna get back on top of things later!
Check-in was a breeze. Easyjet don't issue tickets, they just check the name from your passport and issue boarding cards. Very easy but I did feel nervous turning up without tickets, let me tell you. Burger King for breakfast next and I hate to say it but no kids meant no rules. Chicken whoppers it was, with a coke no less!
Ok you're starting to yawn. Lets cut all the rest, we boarded on time, had a slight delay in taking off but were soon airborne. The flight was very short but boy was it dramatic. Rock n roller had nothing on this baby! I will ride anything but I would gladly trade in my FP for this ride. Maybe its the lack of structure underneath that made me nervous.
We finally landed (yeah I hear you say). As we hadn't checked in any bags, we walked through and came up our first decision. What would be the most efficient way to Disney? The trains are great from here and only take about 9 minutes direct. I knew that the next train wasn't for 1 1/2 hours though. We went to look at the VEA times (the direct shuttle to Disney) and one was due in 20 minutes. The bus came and I tryed to pay. I had cash but the driver had no change. After trying to swipe my credit card 3 times, he gave up and told us to sit down. FREE RIDE (or so I thought). No, at the next terminal, a replacement machine was found and my card was charged (boo hoo). 45 minutes later and we were in Disney Village. I knew I had to go to the hotel first to get our park passes so onto the train it was for 1 stop. The hotel was very beautiful and even though it is officially 3 star, I can see why Simon Veness rates it 4 stars in his book. Our room would not be ready till 4 but that was fine by me. The hotel shuttle was about every 20 minutes, so on we jumped straight back down to Disney Village (DV from now on).
Oh my gosh, I WAS HERE! What to do first?
