My biggest gripe about Universal and Islands of Adventure

Just got back from Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The new Diagon Alley is spectacular. I love the theming and details. My biggest gripe was an extreme lack of benches everywhere. To improve the park experience, please add more benches so people can relax and take in the park. There was no place to sit in Diagon Alley. Yes, I understand they want people to keep moving and about crowd control, but still....you can add benches and make it a lot more enjoyable for more people.

My other suggestion to Universal Studios is to design all of their rides to fit everyone - big and small. Being tall and big, I was unable to ride the Harry Potter rides. If you're over 6 feet, you're going to be very uncomfortable to say the least. So design the rides with a "T" bar instead. At least have more roomy seats on one row of each ride. Do something to include everyone in the family.

Lack of trees or shade. We were there 5 days ago temp was easily 99 and sunny we were dying. There is absolutely no trees or shade anywhere!!

OP, not sure what rides you're referring to, because Forbidden Journey has a pull down restraint. A t-bar would do nothing.

Given your complaining about restraints and promoting of the t-bar in other posts, do you own stake in a company that manufactures them??

There are plenty of shaded areas in the Jurassic Park area towards WWoHP and in the Studios there are trees opposite Twister and a lovely cool shady area between Cafe la Bamba and new Simpsons area.

We never struggle to find shade around the Universal parks anywhere.

Unfortunately this seems to be a problem everywhere. Here's a thread from a few years ago discussing the removal of benches around WDW. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2408882 WDW though tends to have the advantage of having more "seat level" walls that can be used as makeshift benches.

As the crowds in the parks have increased, it seems like more and more benches have been removed to make more room for people to walk. One thing I read suggested that it was seasonal. During slower seasons they can bring out more benches.
