My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding?

I have been lurking around this forum for awhile now and nothing has moved me to actually register to post something until today. It is narrow-minded to think that other people may not have a differing opinion to you. Really. Who cares if other people are stating their opinions on why they believe something is wrong? Tolerance for other points of views just like you preach tolerance of cultures please.

Whether anyone agrees with it or no it is THE LAW in the UK that children attend school until the age of 16. Why should they be treated any differently in that respect to the UK taxpayers? The fact of the matter is, they do not abide by a lot of laws of this country and this is what annoys Joe Taypayer.

oh believe me, i know that my view makes people tilt their head and look at me like they want to chop off my head to make sure i'm not a stepford wife.
i get teased at work for it alot and i don't mind. it makes me laugh.

i wasn't trying to say that everyone should want a relationship like that. it's a big risk! you have to be able to trust that you won't be taken advantage of and that you won't be left high and dry... and with the high rate of divorces and abusive relationships these days... it is a big risk. plus... everyone is different and just like we can't all wear the same size or style wedding gown, we can't all have the same type of relationship.

and i'm babbling and totally off topic of the gypsy wedding show now. sorry, i just worked a double shift unexpectedly when someone called in sick so i'm... giddy. i'm just really passionate with the topic of marriage roles and the fact that sometimes people forget that with the whole women's lib movement that gave us all these choices and opportunities... sometimes people want to have that submissive role and it's not a bad thing because it was our choice and what we want, not what we were made to do.... well, in most cultures at least.

yeah, i'm gonna go get some caffeine now *tummy gurgle* and some toast... or something.

argh, before i run to get some foods for my tummy... i remembered what i thought while i was at work.

i think... within the next ten years or so... we might end up seeing a few major changes in the gypsy community. one of them, i think, may be keeping (at least) the boys in school longer than they have been.
why? well, they may find it harder to make a living with the manual labor jobs that alot of them seem to do or to find any other work. they will end up needing higher education levels to be able to support their families in the coming years.
